Is your daughter interested in a volleyball career? Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh-Jennings' recent Olympic Gold Medal wins along with strong team performances increased the sport's popularity. How can your child build the best career in the sport? What skills do they need to master?

Sanja Tomasevich is an Assistant Volleyball Coach/Recruiting Coordinator for the University of Texas San Antonio Roadrunners joins us on Game Ready Mom Radio to share her expertise. She had a stellar career at the University of Washingto, earning 2005 Pac-10 Player of the Year honors.

Sanja continued to play professionally for seven years. She was voted MVP of the Serbian Championship in 2000. Now as a recruiter/coach, Sanja is well-versed in the NCAA regulations and processes and has much useful information to share.

Volleyball is an extremely popular sport. More than 46 million Americans play volleyball, according to the volleyball.org website. The first women’s college championship took place in 1970 at Long Beach State College. SInce then, many young women have been recruited to top programs including Penn State University, Stanford and Southern California.
