Tonight's show focuses on two important topics. The NFL Combine and young girls playing sports. Part of the show was previously aired, but the tiopics are so critical as we begin to prepare to select summer activties for young athletes. Often, sports aren't on the agenda for young girls.

Co-host Deborah Johnson discusses her son Jay's experience at the combine which takes place this weekend in Indianapolis. Wondering what happens? Deb tells us about how she felt as her son participated in the event.

Angela Taylor of NetWorks Sports joins us to discuss her experience as a player, winner and leader in the sports world. The accomplished businesswoman shares the impact of her sports roles on her life today.

The Women's Sports Foundation found these facts about women in sports:

  • "High school girls who play sports are less likely to be involved in an unintended pregnancy; more likely to get better grades in school and more likely to graduate than girls who do not play sports.
  • Girls and women who play sports have higher levels of confidence and self-esteem and lower levels of depression.
  • Girls and women who play sports have a more positive body image and experience higher states of psychological well-being than girls and women who do not play sports."  The Women's Sports Foundation Website.
