Join us as we explore the impact of the Tea Party on the recent primary elections in Kentucky. Rand Paul is the Republican nominee but does he have a chance of winning the senate race? Join us to discuss Rand Paul and the Tea Party. The guests for that segment are Val Atkinson from NC Central University Department of Political Science; Dr. Jim Taylor who holds a Ph.D. in Psychology, is an adjunct professor at the University of San Francisco, and writes about politics for the Huffington Post. He is also writes about the Psychology of Technology as the Tech Shrink at computerworld.com, psychologytoday.com, and on his own blog at www.drjimtaylor.com We also will be discussing the some of the continued fall-out of the Iraq War, disaster relief in Haiti and the dangers of working in the Niger Delta with Andrew Berends. Andrew is an independent photojournalist and filmmaker and currently is part IFC series The Media Project: Fear, War, Greed and Disaster (http://www.ifc.com/mediaproject/) along with Max Blumenthal, Nir Rosen and Charlie LeDuff. In 2004, Andrew traveled to Iraq and spent months living in Baghdad documenting the war. During this time he produced two documentaries -- Blood of My Brother, which told the inside story of the brimming uprising in Sadr City; and When Adnan Comes Home, the personal story of one young man caught up in the country's post-invasion judicial system.
