AshEl Seasunz is probably better known for his environmentally-tuned hip hop albums, such as Earth Amplified, that bring the power of a driving rhythm and a sense of the new community to the conversation of environmental action.

In this interview, Co-Host Daniel Kerbein talks to AshEl about his work with Green For All, Transition US, and community/neighborhood organizing in general.

One of his cherished projects involves planting trees along the route of the Underground Railroad, as a way to bring spiritual completion for the descendants of slaves and of slave owners (the two groups of people specifically mentioned together in Martin Luther King's "I Have a Dream" speech).
