Founder of kiwanja.net, Ken Banks is passionate about promoting mobile technology for positive social and environmental change in the developing world. He joins SHIFT Radio to discuss his FrontlineSMS project, a field communication system designed to empower grassroots, non-profit organizations. Among his accolades, Ken received a Pop!Tech Social Innovation Fellow in 2008, as well as support from the MacArthur Foundation, Hewlett Foundation and the Open Society Institute. He recently spoke on “Creating Value through Video Games” at the 2008 Net Impact Conference.
