Next up, Hip Hop/R&B group Medina!

In 2009, Rapper Five Eighty and Singer HAZali came together after years of performing and perfecting their crafts as solo artists to form the the group Medina. Medina represents pure artistry and they bring to life positive messages through HAZali’s smooth, soulful melodies and Five Eighty’s precise rhythmic hip-hop flow. Both artists have an Islamic background.

HAZali, who was born and raised in Harlem, New York, was inspired by the music he heard during his travels around various African countries including Morocco, Nigeria, and Medina Baye, Senegal. HAZali can be considered an "old soul" with influences such as Smokey Robinson, Anita Baker, and Stevie Wonder.

Five Eighty, who names himself after an interstate in his hometown of Oakland, CA, spent his early years listening and being inspired by artists such as Busta Rhymes, Redman, Nas and A Tribe Called Quest.

Be sure to tune in as interview these 2 brothers and check out their new single "Dreamed U"! You don't want to miss it!
