From the Deepest Pit to a Position in God with Karen Dunham

Before she was saved, Karen Dunham describes her life as "A messed up life and totally wore out by satan". Over 11 years ago, the Lord saved Karen and her son Blake from the clutches of the mafia and they have never looked back. The mafia's numerous attempts to kill them were thwarted by the Lord. While visiting Israel on a mission trip, the Lord spoke to Karen through a Jerusalem priest who told her, "if you will feed these people [meaning the Palestinian refugees], 'You will win the city for the Lord". Moving to Jericho, the only place they could find to live was inside a Palestinian refugee camp. Death threats, rocks thrown at them and great persecution came as they taught their weekly Bible classes. Their house and car were fire-bombed many times by extreme Muslims. But God protected them and their area of influence and ministry grew as they pioneered churches, opened educational centers, fed the poor, brought formula to the babies, rescued the perishing and birthed an international television broadcast to 133 nations, "Door of Hope".

Today, Living Bread is in many reconciliation projects throughout Israel and ministry offices are established in Gaza, Jerusalem and Jericho.
