I know you know of someone who is always "down in the dumps" or just can't seem to overcome into a life of victory. 1. How often should we help friends/family with advice, monetary support or counseling? 2. If this is you, when did your "red flag" go up that made you say, "NO MORE OF THIS FOR ME!"? 3. If you are the giver, are you afraid to challenge the lifestyle and decisions of the other person? ARE YOU THAT PERSON?: I want to hear stories from those that might have overcome "a defeated life" to now living a purpose driven life of destiny. Whether it is a story of overcoming addiction or abuse of any kind; your voice is welcomed (freely comment on this thread). ARE YOU THE GIVER? Sometimes, we help more than we can really afford to help! Maybe you are the one who helps others, but you know of someone who seems to live a life of repeat and redundancy; seemingly never able to rise above to their best. At what point do you say, "NO"? Even if you say NO, it doesn't mean they won't find another means of help. We ignore the old adage: YOU ARE NOT GOING TO CHANGE, UNTIL YOU ARE SICK AND TIRED! SOME OF THE LIMITS: We limit ourselves in spiritual growth, because God wants so much more for us; and we are missing it. Furthermore, we also limit ourselves in influence, because there is always someone else affected by your lifestyle; watching for your testimony. Lastly, we limit the extended reach because there is a work for you to do that no one else can do, the way you can. THE POWER OF R3 (to the third power:It behooves us to allow people to go into the recovery room, get alone with themselves first and face the truth. It also behooves us to still be there, when they call us to help bring restoration to them if it is within our power and if they are sincere in change. We must encourage them to process the feelings and lead them to a life of prayer to get the revelation of why.
