William Davis, MD, a cardiologist, calls modern-day wheat a "chronic, perfect poison" in his new book, 'Wheat Belly'; which is all about the world's most popular grain and how it is killing us.
Davis explains, "This new GMO wheat has many new features nobody told you about, such as there's a new protein in this thing called gliadin. It's not gluten. The gliadin protein is an opiate that binds with Opiate receptors which in turn stimulate appetite.
When people went off modern wheat they lost 30, 80, 150 pounds. Diabetes was cured, arthritis was relieved. Edema, acid reflux, irritable bowel syndrome, depression…the lists seems endless, just vanished and best of all people lost their “Wheat Belly”.
