With: Comm. Blake Waltman & Brian Sobel
Remembering What Memorial Day is all about. Since the beginning of our great nation, men and women have laid down their lives in the cause of freedom and in order to protect us. We are indebted to them, and to those who serve us today. We talk about the impact of multiple deployments with Commander Waltman who has deployed to hazardous duty zones six times including Somalia, Kosovo, Iraq (twice) and Afghanistan. Having served with the 4th Infantry, Airborne Div, as a Drill Sergeant, then with the Army Special Operations Command, we discuss the rigors of today's military, and the challenges returning troops have finding jobs. Plus the speech given by Brian Sobel, author of "The Fighting Pattons," the son of an officere and the father of a young wounded vet, at our 10th anniversary of 9/11 Operation Hearthlift Event.
