Joining Sharon is co-host Audrey Russo and guest Lauri burns, founder of The Teen Project, which is part of Oprah's Angel Network. A child victim of abuse, and on the street as a teenager, she is now an executive with a Fortune 500 company, author, inspirational speaker and mother of over 30 troubled foster children, she talks about the dire need of homeless teens. Then in the second half hour, Dana Bryant, founder of Crossing the Jordan, joins us to talk about the growing numbers of teen prostitutes in America the how she and her local community is doing something about it in very creative ways.

The facts are:

  • The Santa Clara County, California, is listed in the top 10 cities in the US  for homeless
  • Over 80% of these children are either addicts and/or abused
  • Sex Trafficking on Craig’s List in the US must be stopped with two-thirds of the victims under age of 17
  • Foster care stops at age 18 no matter the circumstance
