Too often, we make New Year resolutions for January 1st only to break the commitment by January 7th.  Do we put to much pressure on ourselves year after year where we become disappointed in our attemps to change?  STOP and think of what you envision for your life both short and long term and remove the new year...new me crap out of the equation.  Strive to make the necessary changes year round, not just at the beginning of the year.  Don't set yourself up for the headache(s)!
