During this evening's episode, I will discuss the importance of diversity in business and how it adds to the overall success of any entity from creative to other industries.

Shakespeare in Detroit is dedicated to having casts that reflect the melting pot that is our great state and the world.

Having a diverse team in your business means that you will have a vast amount of experiences and perspectives in which to pull from. These will allow your consumers or clients to relate to your product. In our case, it is a story or theatrical experience. We want our audiences to be able to parallel their own lives by not just viewing but experiencing our performances. And a great gateway for that is having actors and artists a part of our team that well represent our wide-ranging community from those of us who live in the city to those of us on the outskirts of Detroit whether we are black, white, young, old, educated, wealthy, struggling to make rent...We  can all relate to the human experience and should be able to enjoy accessible art that represents our lives and the lives of others in our community.

Thanks for tuning in.
