Happy New Year everyone!
I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and welcome to 2014!
I'm not a fan of New Year's resolutions. I am of the belief that the time of year has nothing to do with change -- you can have a fresh start in the middle of July, if you're ready for it. But the idea of a new year does create a sentiment of change and new beginnings. So, with that said, I decided to share some of the things I am looking forward to in 2014 -- personal and professional -- especially, Shakespeare in Detroit's sophomore production, "Antony and Cleopatra."
A&C is hugely different than "Othello" because this time around I have a production team, and I am looking forward to letting go with this show. That means, I am working on my tendency to control every aspect or detail of the show and collaborating with other talented people to make this unique play possible. It's a new way of doing things for me and I am so excited to see what this new perspective and this new production process brings!
Thanks for tuning in!
