SFTS.RADIO - explores the CREOLE CULTURE- More than a catchy name — or two randomly juxtaposed words, Mo Créole is a decided affirmation and the pulse of a culture. It is not merely a phrase, which literally translates 'I am Creole/Mo Creole,' but is an unequivocal declaration of survival and deeply-rooted historical connectedness — of presence, being and identity. Mo Créole strives to be at the core/coeur/corazón of Creole Louisiana and the Louisiana Creole diaspora, which nationally finds itself concentrated in Louisiana, Texas, coastal Mississippi and Alabama, Nevada, California, Illinois, Maryland and New York, and is historically rooted in and connected to the cultures and people of West Africa (Senegal and Mali), Europe (Spain and France), Native America and the Caribbean (Haiti, the Dominican Republic and Cuba).
