Many Americans forgot that it was bankers who caused the financial crisis now used as an excuse for austerity measures proposed again in the sequester "crisis." Others work hard to urge them to hold the banksters responsible for their crimes. What they are not being called on is their role in fostering endless war for profit.

It is almost universally known that bankers are among the biggest war profiteers, but far fewer realize that they are directly responsible for many wars throughout history and indirectly involved with the rest. 

In the past they financed wars for kings. Now they simply hold "democratic" governments as debt hostages and do what they want to influence domestic and foreign policy to their benefit. The largest banks have extensive holdings in all the corporations that make up the military-industrial complex.
