Since the financial crisis of 2008 that led to massive bailouts of zombie banks who are not held accountable by a government largely under its control, politicians have said when pressed that they will "put Main Street before Wall Street." Events have proven that this is a false promise from politicians of both parties.

Most Americans have accepted for generations the claim that "What is good for business is good for America." While that may have been true to a degree in the past, it is time that Americans consider the question of whether what is good for banksters and other corporate powers that control the US government is good for America and especially for small American businesses.

On January 3  I discussed this question with Lee Mercer, Executive Director of Main Street Alliance of Oregon, part of a national Main Street Alliance network. Main Street is a nonprofit giving voice to the millions of small businesspersons who are fighting an uphill battle in a system that favors multinational corporations and their monopolistic practices over small American businesses, which are the real backbone of the American economy.

This show was broadcast on January 26 on the Star Com Radio network.

Take Back America for the People is an educational nonprofit whose mission is to reveal to the American public the true costs of corporate control of the US government.
