On April 28 our scheduled guest was Monique D'hooghe, Belgian Soldier For Peace and advocate for veterans and civilians affected by depleted uranium (DU) used in the Gulf War zone. Unfortunately she was a victim of apparently random violence just before the show and was unable to call in. As usual, our listeners stepped in and joined the conversation, resulting in a great show.

We began by talking about how DU and Agent Orange have been used indiscriminately for questionable benefit in wars for corporate Empire despite their documented harm to members of the military and civilians alike.

We discussed some of the efforts to mitigate this damage and to make the US government accountable for these and other crimes against both civilian populations and members of its own military.

Callers talked about efforts to stop recruiters from brainwashing our children, building a united front against fascism and war in the US and around the world and how to establish democracy in the US through the Pledge to Amend campaign.

SFPI Radio is the international talk show designed to allow those struggling for social justice around the world to talk to each other about how we can support efforts to promote justice, democracy and peace in every nation.
