The Nichols Vikings are the number 1 team in the League. They only lost one game all season, and that was against St Joes 92-90 in overtime. In two games against St. Francis this year they won both. They are lookng for their thrird win against the Red Raiders this season. Nichols is lead by Will Regan and Ronald Canestro, two players that average over 20 pts a game for the team.

St. Francis rebounded after a dissapointing 2008 campaign with a 500 record in league play. Big wins against St Joes(Home), Timon(Home), and last Monday nights game against St. Marys(Away), has the Red Raiders won win a way from going back to the League Championship game Sunday night at  8:00 for the first time since 2007. The Red Raiders are lead by Seniors Delano Fabor, Ozzie Lumpkin, and Junior Kyle Clifford who's shot last Monday against St. Marys might go down as one of the best all time.
