    Create a Fantastic Website

Thanks for the fantastic feedback on my blogtalk radio show held on Monday, December 8th on building killer websites. Seems like I'm hitting the right balance between background enough for beginners and new information. I appreciate the feedback!  Anything else you'd like to have on the show? Just drop me an email at jeannegrunert@dishmail.net or IM me on Yahoo - jeannegrunert

The two web hosting solutions I mentioned, by the way, are -

Yahoo Site Builder:http://sitebuilder.yahoo.com/.  My website, www.equinartcreations.com is bilt using SiteBuilder.
Microsoft Small Business Solutions:http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/officelive/FX102036321033.aspx  My consulting site, www.sevenoaksconsulting.com,  built using this platform.

And here are a few tips from the show to keep in mind when building your website:

Choose a domain name that's unique, builds your brand recognition, but is easy to remember and spell

Don't go crazy if you're a beginner trying to build the 'perfect' site. Start small and build out.

Measure, monitor, change and repeat - make sure you are keeping track of your metrics

Think like a customer. What do your customers want to know?

Keep cool graphics, sound files and videos to a minimum....can turn away customers with slower computers.

Have fun, and if you'd like me to build your site or like a few hours of consulting time, contact me at (434) 574-6253 or www.sevenoaksconsulting.com
