    Small business marketing help

Thanks to all who tuned in for the Seven Oaks Marketing Show! Our first show has been downloaded by dozens of people. Do tune in on Monday, October 20th at noon EST when I'll be talking about marketing strategies with my special guest, Allen Mogol. Allen has led marketing efforts for the new SAT, and has been a marketing leader with Children's Television Workshop and many other companies. While you may not be marketing anything quite as fun as Big Bird and Ernie, I'm sure you'll get something from the conversation! Remember that if you can't tune in at noon, you can download programs later. Just email me your questions and we'll try to cover them during our half hour.

Recently I've heard again from my friends in college and university marketing groups that the scam artists are back at it. This is so frustrating.  These are companies that call, pretending that they want you to be a guest on their talk show, but they drop the clincher only a short time before the program is supposed to be recorded...they want you to pay for the privledge.  $20,000 or more!  I call it a scam since legitimate PR doesn't charge. Tell me what you think and check out my article this week on the topic.
