The end of January 1961 found four of the top five songs of the instrumental variety. The hottest acts were the Sherelles, Neil Sedaka, Brenda Lee, Elvis, Bobby Vee, Jackie Wilson, Connie Francis, Gene Pitney, Johnny Burnette and Ben E. King. Country artists Johnny Horton, Ferlin Husky, Floyd Cramer, Skeeter Davis and Cowboy Copas were getting lots of airplay too. Join Ken Hopkins for lots of great musical memories Sunday, January 27th at 8pm Eastern, 5pm Pacific. The request line and chat room will be open.
