This week Ken Hopkins turns the musical time machine back to October 1, 1958. At the top of the tune charts we had a mix of doo wop from the Elegants and Little Anthony, popular mainstream hits from Roger Williams, Domenco Modugno and The Tommy Dorsey orchestra and good 'ol rock and roll from Bobby Day, The Big Bopper, and the sweet sounds of Tommy Edwards, Ricky Nelson, The Poni Tails, Kingston Trio and many others. Extras from Ken's musical diary will come from the 60s and 70s. 1958 was a tougth year for Elvis fans as he went into the Army(you might say he went from public to private). Gas was 25  cents a gallon and Toyotas made it to the USA. 1958 was the first year for passenger jets and the military actually told us that some day satellites would be mapping the world! Join Ken Saturday 8-11pm ET and 5-8p PT live. Call-ins are welcome, the chat room will be open as well as the Facebook pages.
