Anyone who has watched The Big Bang Theory is familiar with Sheldon's agreements - The Relationship Agreement and The Roommate Agreement are two that pop to mind. Of course, this is a comedy show with exaggerated characters doing ludicrous and ridiculous things to make us laugh but I wonder...
Would those agreements translate to real life? Does a relationship agreement mean you're trying to take something as intangible as love and putting neat little parameters around it? Is it possible we hold to the idea that there are unspoken parameters in our relationships that should simply be 'understood' and respected? Would it be better if we at least voiced those parameters?
Come join us for a conversation about parameters in relationship and keeping our agreements.
