Although no client will ever want to hear “Your pain is all in your head”, every type of pain has two components; physical and emotional/subconscious.
Physical pain is the portion of the pain that stems from an obvious physical cause such as an accident, disorder or condition.
However, pain can also be mind-created.
Subconscious/ emotional pain is the portion of the pain that is created by the client’s SC mind or their emotions, expectations and experiences of pain. For example, if a client is anticipating pain when having a baby the act of telling oneself that there is going to be pain or hearing other people’s painful birth stories creates the pain (what is in our Sc mind is automatically acted out). The expectation of pain causes the client to tense and this tension exacerbates the pain. Tension, fear, anxiety, beliefs about pain, previous experiences of pain, being exposed to other’s experiences of pain, anticipation of pain ALL CREATE PAIN!
So, the trick becomes to determine how much of the pain a client is experiencing actually stems from a physical cause and how much stems from an emotional/SC cause. Each type needs to be treated appropriately.
In this episode I will tell you how to identify which type of pain you are working with and what you can do in each case to address and eliminate or reduce the pain or symptom.

ABOUT MY GUEST:
Sids Ahky Stevens, self published author of "Own Your Stupidity".
I don't use my personal picture because my story is personal, and I am using a pin name.
I am a product of a single-parent household, consisting of a very strict mom. My father did not want to have anything to do with me. I was a troubled kid. When I was ten years old, I was hit by a car. My mother wanted to protect me, and she allowed me to be raised later by an amazing grandmother. When I got older, I pursued my master's degree, established my faith, found love, and had two children. I lost my son to sudden infant death syndrome
After his death, I had to work harder on my marriage, and we were blessed to have our beautiful daughter. As she had gotten older, I wanted to achieve more attainable goals, establish my faith, and serve my community. Most of all, I want to show my daughter that although I am Mommy. I can be amazing too.

Tonight's special guest is Dale Hemming from Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He leads the effort at Sioux Falls Free Thinkers where the motto is 'Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent!' Among numerous other issues for Dale is the safety of our children. The web site says, ".. all those with open minds are welcome. Free Thinkers are those that want a world without rules and controls on thought, without mental borders and boundaries. A world where anything is possible." With our talk show, Dale is announcing the launch of this year's 6 week child abuse awareness campaign in Sioux Falls that involves sixteen 10x21 foot billboards for National Child Abuse Prevention Month (April), sponsored again by Sioux Falls Feminists. Dale, now in his 70s, became a feminist in 1960 while he was in high school. In college he went further. "I was a campus radical and civil rights activist fighting against the Vietnam War, racism, and for women's rights and gay/lesbian rights," Dale explains. "If one looks at the appalling statistics and facts on child abuse you will understand my involvement in the issue," Dale says. He's addressing these issues head on, and at his own expense. "I believe we need to stop hiding the ugliness of child physical and sexual abuse. We need to get it out in open so we must deal with it." He explains, "My latest child abuse billboard images and wording are as explicit as freedom of speech allows." No question, Dale is one of our NAASCA family's true heroes !!
