A profound experience in 1980 was the true beginning of her spiritual quest and the realization that she had the ability to help others simply by listening to the powerful energies that were guiding her. Over the years she has performed readings in many ways, sometimes using tarot cards and other tools of divination, but mostly by simply sitting with a person and once given their permission, tuning into the energy of that person and allowing the information to come through her that they need to know.

In 2006, Lisa had a life-changing experience during a Reiki treatment and was gifted with a vision of Reiki healing for animals. In pursuing that vision, another major event took place. Whilst driving her car, she witnessed the fatal hit and run of a Rainbow Lorikeet. She immediately “felt” its remaining mates pain and anxiety as it if were her own. She knew her life had changed in that moment. In the process of becoming an Animal Reiki Practitioner and voice for the animals, Lisa added her public relations skills to create The Lisa Aston Show podcasting Reiki, Animal Reiki and interviewing other Animal healers, connecting people and their pets.

Lisa recently qualified as a Pet Bereavement Counsellor which she sees as a natural extension to her work as a Reiki Master/Teacher and Animal Reiki practitioner. Lisa teaches Reiki and Animal Reiki in Queensland, Australia.
