Join Sifu Restita DeJesus and Sifu Robert Deahl as we have an open forum about "tradition in the modern martial arts world"
How important is "old school" tradition in modern martial arts venues? As a Koryu (classical) practitioner, do you feel that observance of the old ways of tradition is a way to understand the culture of the old days? As a modern practitioner, do you feel that traditions such as bowing, rank titles, etc are a relic to an era long past? Are you middle of the road, feeling that common courtesy is key? We'd like to hear from you!!!
Call in to join the discussion. All are welcome, regardless of style and rank. While debate is welcomed, we strive to keep the forum as mature of discussion as possible. No flaming or trolling will be allowed.
Our initial panel includes: Soke Gregg Wooldrige and Professor Patrick McDaniel. We also hope to hear from Guro Mark Stewart and Guro Wes Bennett.
