An Obstetrician, Surgeon and General Practitioner, Dr. Knud Knud-Hansen was born in Denmark. He received his early education in Copenhagen and upon completion he entered the University to pursue a medical career. Dr. Hansen in his autobiography, From Denmark to the Virgin Islands, describes these years as "long years of happy misery". To support himself through medical school he taught Zoology in a Miss West's Higher Girls School and doubled as a news critic for a newspaper syndicate.
When slaves became ill or their sense of justice was stifled, they often sought help in the spiritual world and went to the “Obeah man”. With rituals and magical objects, he could restore health and a sense of justice.
Steve Utter has a Bachelors degree of Science from Arizona State University in biology/zoology. He was pre-med during college but instead of becoming a doctor he went on to develop many products. He has 7 patents and one of his inventions was the Misty Mate, a personal portable cooling device that can be worn around the waist to keep the air around you 30 degrees cooler. Thousands of misty mates were donated to our troops in the Desert Storm war in Iraq. After selling the misty mate company he started developing dietary supplements from some unique products. The main products were Egg membrane joint support and lignans. Lignans are phytonutrients that help balance hormones. They help women with menopause because they help balance estrogen, they help promote better prostate health in men because they help balance testosterone and they help dogs reduce cortisol levels which is a stress hormone. Steve's company is called products development, llc and his brand names for his dietary supplements are Lignans For Life and K9 Choice. Steve has been married to his college sweetheart for 33 years and lives in Chandler, AZ.

Tina Harter was born and raised near Cincinnati, Ohio. Throughout her childhood, she would often spend her summer months on her Grandparent’s farm in the hills of Northern Tennessee where she developed an appreciation for nature, animals and the outdoors. Through the years, her interests have expanded into various areas of science, crypto zoology and even paranormal. However, 30 years after that summer evening in her friends’ backyard, that memory and experience came back to her and bigfoot has become her main passion ever since. Over the last 10 years, Tina has increased her studies by researching many books and articles on the subject. She has been involved in a few groups around the Tri-state area, is a member of a weekly skype discussion group, attended several conferences and has joined various blogs and focus groups within the Bigfoot community. She is the administrator and one of the creators of the internet group Bigfoot Under The Radar and is out in the field at least 2 times a week to learn as much as possible about the Bigfoot phenomena. She has combined her passion with trying to understand Bigfoot with her passion for photography and has researched Southwestern Ohio quite heavily. She has some particularly favorite spots where she has acquired physical evidence of footprints as well as thousands of pictures of stick structures and other signs. She has had other sightings as well, but so far it has eluded the lens of her camera. Tina believes that her strong determination to research Bigfoot is to hopefully get some answers about her experience as a teen.

Our guest tonight is best-selling author Terri Farley, who will be talking about her first non-fiction book, "Wild at Heart: Mustangs and the Young People Fighting to Save Them." Mustangs have thrived for thousands of generations. Now they are under attack, but courageous young people are trying to stop the round-ups and senseless killings by standing up to government and big business to save these American icons. Learn about cutting edge science and the young people leading the charge to keep horses wild and free.
"Anyone who cares about wild horses should read this book. So should anyone who cares about how science is being abused to justify flawed management policies masquerading as 'responsible conservation'." - Dr. Ross MacPhee, Curator of Mammalogy/Vertebrate Zoology, American Museum of Natural History

Courtney Shaw has been fortunate enough to combine her love for art and animals throughout her life. She has published several children's books with publisher Rocket Science Productions.
In her career, she was head of the art library at the University of Maryland for many years, as Life Sciences Reference Librarian and as the vertebrate zoology Librarian at the Natural History Museum of the Smithsonian Institution.
And now, that she has retired, she found a new way to combine her two passions.
"I love animals and have always had cats," Shaw said. " I have been writing on computers and in my head for years waiting to retire and now that I am, I can finally put it all together."
And that's what she has been doing, starting a series about Sir William Thomas, Tommie for short, her cat and friend for 15 years.
"I love doing this, it's just so fun," Shaw said. "Its so easy for me to write and draw since I've been writing articles and reports and working with and around art for my jobs."

Dave Shaw has over a decade of experience in TV production gained from both home and abroad. With just a handful of hunting trips under his belt, he’d be the first to admit that he doesn’t possess the hunters instinct just yet, although his combination of a BSc in Zoology & years spent in Officer training for the NZ military means he brings a different set of skills to the table. On top of this, Dave also cut his teeth working on the groundbreaking Discovery Channel series FutureWeapons, so he certainly knows how to shoot action!
Prior to starting up The Hunters Club, Dave was the lead camera operator and head of post production on the ITM Fishing Show, which rates as one of NZ’s most watched shows in any genre. It was through the show that Dave crossed paths with Dan, and from there they decided that it was high time someone set out to show the general public exactly what makes hunting in New Zealand so very special
