    Frat House Saturday #42

    in Sports

Today’s “relaxed” Frat House Saturday program takes on a heavy-baseball flavor to it as Frat House Mike continues to lament the recent release of new documents regarding Pete Rose, . . . oh, and the loss of another of his heroes, Ryne Sandberg from the Philadelphia Phillies management.

For the later of those two topics he’s joined LIVE (rare for a Frat House Saturday) by a bigger Phils fan than himself, long-time Frat House Sports friend Frank Klose of Philliedelphia.com .  Obviously, they’re talking about the managerial change with the Phils and the potential tsunami yet to come to the team.

NOW, many of the FHS programs had a MLB flavor to them this week including the conversation on Tuesday night’s Clean-Up Hitters program with Jeff Rickard about the recent revelations that Pete Rose bet on baseball years before we ever knew; AND, we revisited that topic again with our regular FHS panel on our “flagship” Frat House Sports Show this past Thursday.

It wasn’t lost on us that the NBA Draft was going LIVE at the same time as Thursday program and that meant we had to get our resident correspondent Matt DiBiase on with us to chat a bit of pre-draft analysis.

THIS is shaping up as one fun “relaxed” Frat House Saturday afternoon program . . . so, do the right thing. Lounge around the pool; get us tuned-in on the mobile device; enjoy and call-in to a solo Frat House Mike at 347 – 826 – 9964

    Frat House Saturday #41

    in Sports

Well . . . it’s mid-June. The NBA & NHL have FINALLY come to a conclusion. Sure, sure the Women’s World Cup is going . . . AND the PGA U.S. Open is this week, but of the “majors” what is dominating our “relaxed” Frat House Saturday air-waves is baseball . . . and especially St. Louis Cardinals baseball.

Yep . . . it seems we’ve got a heavy dose today of those CORRUPT, CHEATIN’, New England Patriots-STYLE THEIVIN’ “model” MLB St. Louis Cardinals!

On today’s show, we’ll be replaying the chat we had with Ryan “Wacky Willis” from San Diego chatting about the San Diego Padres AND “Hackgate” from our Tuesday night FHS’ Clean-Up Hitters program. Later we’ve got Pat Imig chiming in and defending his Cards from CBS Sports 920-AM in St. Louis from our Thursday night “flagship” program, The Frat House Sports Show.

But, it’s in the 2:30 p.m. ET hour that you’ll want to be here for a very special LIVE guest who knows more about the St. Louis Cardinals . . . and, will be their biggest “apologist” you’ve ever heard . . . but we love him, nonetheless.

Have you gotten the idea yet? This is MUST Saturday afternoon listening . . . it’s fun and oh so “relaxed” so be sure to tune in to Frat House Mike and give him a call at 347 – 826 – 9964!

It’s June 6 and, trust me when I tell you – this is REALLY a “relaxed” Frat House Saturday coming your way. Oh, sure there’s a lot of sporting events to talk about . . . and, we will, but let’s just take it easy. It’s the summertime!

Pat Imig from the “Imig & Moe Show” of CBS Sports 920-AM St. Louis joined us on Thursday for our Frat House Sports Show and we went on a whirlwind conversation about what’s happening with the St. Louis Rams; NFL stadiums; and who’s likely to win the Los Angeles lottery. It’s a conversation that just flies by!

Frat House Mike is joined LIVE (that doesn’t happen often on a “relaxed” Frat House Saturday) by our good friend Nik Swartz of BaseballHotCorner.com to talk horsies, the Belmont Stakes, FIFA, the NBA Finals . . . oh, and there will have to be a bit of New York Yankees chat!

We finish it up with children’s-sports author Bob Salomon and the inspiring message he just released in his latest book “Beyond the Laces.”

Have you gotten the idea yet? This is MUST Saturday afternoon listening . . . it’s fun and oh so “relaxed” so be sure to tune in to Frat House Mike and give him a call at 347 – 826 – 9964!

    Frat House Saturday #38

    in Sports

This might be a “relaxed” Frat House Saturday, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be a packed and provocative one . . . and THAT it is!

Frat House Mike kicks off the show with the inspiring interview with NFL unrestricted free agent and Kentucky Wildcat 2014 grad Donte Rumph who refuses to give up trying to get a roster spot on an NFL team, and went so far as to set up a tent and live across the street from the Atlanta Falcons training facility. This is MUST radio listening to hear his “Tent of Faith” story!

The FIFA financial scandal and federal indictments blew-up this week and so did Frat House Mike and, friend of Frat House Sports, Eric Purdy on Thursday night’s Frat House Sports Show! MUST radio listening #2!

MUST radio listening #3: We were finally able to connect with our Indianapolis and Sirius XM – ESPN Radio buddy Jeff Rickard to chat about his 30-year broadcasting career and a bit of MLB baseball on our Clean-Up Hitters program.

Have you gotten the idea yet? This is MUST Saturday afternoon listening . . . it’s fun and oh so “relaxed” so be sure to tune in to Frat House Mike and give him a call at 347 – 826 – 9964!

    in Sports

It’s the unofficial beginning of the summer season and we’re coming to you today with a VERY “relaxed” Frat House Saturday program during this Memorial Day Weekend. But, it doesn’t stop the sports chat.

The calendar may say “summer”, but we open it up with a bit of NHL chat and specifically the new coaching hire by the Philadelphia Flyers. Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia’s John Boruk joined us Thursday night on our “flagship” Frat House Sports Show to talk about Dave Hakstol.

Then we’re joined by a rare LIVE guest on a “relaxed” Frat House Saturday as a good Frat House Sports friend Greg Peterson of WRST 90.3-FM in Oshkosh chimes in with announcements about his future; the NFL; Deflategate; MLB; and, the NBA Playoffs. No sports chat is out-of-bounds when Greg comes on!

Finally, from our Tuesday night program, the Frat House Sports’ Clean-Up Hitters get engage an in-depth chat about “The Hit King” Pete Rose.

This is MUST holiday listening . . . it’s fun and oh so “relaxed” so be sure to tune in to Frat House Mike and give him a call at 347 – 826 – 9964!

    Frat House Saturday #36

    in Sports

These wild, wild weeks are now becoming more the “norm” than not any more here on The Frat House Sports Radio Network, and you’re going get to hear just a bit of it all here on another “relaxed” Frat House Saturday.

Well, NFL’s Roger Goodell dropped the hammer on Tom Brady and the New England Patriots this week in the wake of the “Deflategate Report” from Tom Wells. The reaction was rapid and in some sectors, rabid. We gauged it all on our Thursday night Frat House Sports Show with some help from our guests Mike Pendleton of FullScaleSports.com and Chris Simoneau of PatriotsInsider.com

The NHL Playoffs are now down to the Conference Finals and that seemed like a perfect time to bring in a three-time Stanley Cup winner and outstanding former Edmonton Oiler defenseman, Craig Muni.

Finally, on one of our few Friday productions of The Race Trim MotorSports Hour, our host Uncle Mark brought a very unique Frat House Sports homage to David Letterman, Brian France, Deflate-Gate, and dirty, rotten, racing cheaters. Huh? Well, it’s a must listen!

Oh, . . . and you never know when Frat House Mike might be bringing one of his Frat House Saturday Rants . . . so, it’s absolutely worth it to listening in and even giving him a call at 347 – 826 – 9964 . . . because, he’s all by himself, and needs someone to talk to!

    Frat House Saturday #35

    in Sports

How we love bringing you our “relaxed” recaps of the very best from right here on the Frat House Sports Radio Network every Saturday with Frat House Mike, and this week is no different!

Well it’s been a wild week in sports that started with the “Best Sports Day of 2015” last Saturday. Yeaaaahhh . . . well Frat House Mike will be talking about THAT one . . . and we’ll be revisiting the Manny Pacquiao-Floyd Mayweather fight along with our good Frat House Sports friend Matt DiBiase. It’s a hoot – it’s a riot – it’s worth a listen!

By Thursday though it was long past and NOW we’re all in to NHL Playoffs. And that means it’s time for us to bring in a great “old-schooler” like Dennis Maruk to chit-chat about the NHL then and NOW and the Washington Capitals.

Finally the Frat House Sports Race Trim MotorSports Gang out in the garage are hanging out late on a Friday night and invited a good friend Russell Lovett to stop by to chat some NASCAR before Saturday’s race.

COULD THIS BE the “best” sports day in 2015? ONLY IF you tune-in to Frat House Mike and his classic Frat House Saturday program  . . . and, give Frat House Mike a call at 347 – 826 – 9964 . . . because, he’s all by himself, and needs someone to talk to!

The Frat House Sports Show #197

    in Sports

Some might say it’s another slow sports week now with JUST the PGA U.S. Open starting today, the Women’s World Cup on-going, and just MLB left of the “majors.”

Oh sure, we’ll touch on all of those – plus the NBA and NHL Finals, NFL, athlete salaries around the world, the mess brewing with the Arizona Coyotes, plus more. So, in the end, we will have touched on EVERY SINGLE SPORT IN THE WORLD!

It’s also be highlighted by a chat with our Frat House Sports buddy from St. Louis, Pat Imig of the Imig & Moe Show on CBS Sports Radio 920-AM to give the very latest on the St. Louis Cardinals “Hackgate” controversy.

Also joining us is our NBA & NHL Analyst and sports author Matt DiBiase to help us conduct the post-mortem on the NBA and NHL Finals. There were certainly some surprises in both outcomes there.

THIS is one packed program . . . that will also include YOUR calls at 347 – 826 – 9964!

BRING IT . . . and bring your best during just another summer-time “slow sports week” to “The Frat House Sports Gang” – Frat House Mike, Uncle Mark, Sidekick, and Brandon!

    in Sports

The Frat House Sports Gang welcomes back Sidekick (!) and what a night it should be . . .

. . . recognizing Jordan Spieth; getting up-to-date with the Women’s World Cup; and looking in LIVE on the NBA Draft and the upcoming NHL Draft with our resident Frat House Sports analyst Matt DiBiase.

BUT . . . Pete Rose was back in the news front-and-center and, not in a good way. It seems his gambling past is continuing to haunt him and may just end his hopes of reinstatement and Hall of Fame aspirations!

Then . . . on to another future HOFer Tom Brady and his fight to keep his own reputation untarnished – somewhat ironic, isn’t it?

THIS is one packed program . . . that will also include YOUR calls at 347 – 826 – 9964!

BRING IT . . . and bring your best during just another summer-time “slow sports week” to “The Frat House Sports Gang” – Frat House Mike, Uncle Mark, Sidekick, and Brandon!

    Frat House Saturday #34

    in Sports

Twenty weeks ago, back in mid-December Frat House Mike announced on a Frat House Saturday program that May 2nd had the chance to be one of the greatest sports days of 2015. The headlines today are: “May 2nd Will Be the Greatest Sports Day of 2015”; “Greatest sports day ever? Fight will decide it”; and, “Sportacular Saturday.” Well, IT’S HERE!

. . . and, Frat House Mike will be welcoming it; talking about it; ranting about it . . . oh, and bringing you the best of this past week on the Frat House Sports Radio Network including . .

. . . the Frat House Sports gang’s chat with 10-year NHL veteran Chris Kontos from the Thursday “flagship” Frat House Sports Show; and FHS friend Chris Heidel from Herb-FM Sports Radio joined the Tuesday FHS’ Clean-Up Hitters program to chat about the issues in Baltimore how it has affected the Baltimore Orioles.

Finally, Frat House Mike will have a rare LIVE Saturday appearance by Philadelphia Eagles analyst Jeff Warner of FOX Sports 1470-AM Lehigh Valley to talk about the miscues in the Eagles netting Marcus Mariota in the NFL Draft.

On what might be the “best” sports day in 2015, be sure to start it off the right way by tuning-in to THIS  Frat House Saturday program  . . . and, give Frat House Mike a call at 347 – 826 – 9964 . . . because, he’s all by himself, and needs someone to talk to!

    in Sports

Soooo, if we’re talking horseracing, soccer, and pro-basketball, does that mean it’s a “slow sports week”?

Have no fear, Pete Thompson is here of Comcast SportsNet Philly and formerly NBC-40 AC joining The Frat House Sports Gang to talk ALL things Philadelphia sports – Flyers, Eagles, Phillies, Sixers. (Does THAT still mean it’s a “slow sports week”?)

Seriously, we’re talking American Pharoah; FIFA and Women’s World Cup; MLB’s All-Star Game; the incredibly compelling NBA Finals; and, taking our sports over the borders.

THIS is one packed program . . . which will also be including you and YOUR calls at 347 – 826 – 9964!

BRING IT . . . and bring your best during a “slow sports week” to “The Frat House Sports Gang” – Frat House Mike, Uncle Mark, Sidekick, and Brandon!
