Are You Denying Your Deepest Desires?

    in Health

Are you denying your deepest desires?

When I use the phrase "deepest desires" I'm sure that all kinds of thoughts pop into your mind!

That's okay. Whatever desires you're thinking about is exactly what I'm talking about. I'm talking about all kinds of desires - around relationships, health, career, money, friendships, social life, sex, travel, etc.

If there is one main lesson I've learned while taking back my health, it's that the only important thing in life is to enjoy yourself and those around you. Because if you aren't, life isn't worth living. In order to enjoy yoruself and those around you, you need to be in pretty good physical health, which is why I talk a lot about food and exercise.

But, in order to enjoy yourself, you also need to be in good mental and emotional health. I didn't learn this piece until a few years into my journey while I was bed-ridden and stuck in my own head for hours at a time.

I'm going to talk about why discovering (or admitting to yourself) your deepst desires is essential to your healing journey and I'll teach you how to find the courage to pursue those desires, no matter what they are.

What happens when someone tells you that you are not going to live up to your full potential? Has a doctor or medical practitioner told you that you will not live past a certain point? Have you been told that you will never find love and marriage? Have you been told you'll never have children?

Has God acted out in your life to show you that no matter what man says, He has the final say?

On this episode of the Parker J Cole Show, we are going to talking with Angela Dockter who turned her life what should not have happened to a testimony that is a pinnacle of God's Faith. Holding It Together: Intrapsychic Forces

    in Spirituality

The idea of union between everything (inside and out) is the subject of holding together.  Harmonious union is secured by the authority of the ego, but we must ask if the ego is worthy of this position before we submit the total self to its control. Tune in tonight as Nancy Herold and I discuss how success in spiritual work is determined by the proper integration of these intrapsychic forces. When we feel separated and confused then we are off-balance. Willpower is the catalyst for unity but, do we have the requisite willpower to facilitate our goal of holding it together? This show teaches that there are many dimensions of awareness and the Work is to maintain benevolent (original intent) contact with them all. Psychologically, holding it together is actually the Self (or heart) surrounded by its many complexes. Though the human psyche has its own coherence, these inner complexes are continuously orbiting each other in cycles of change. Tune in as we discuss how we must respond to these changes consciously and coherently. In doing so, all of the forces eventually become synchronized with the soul’s intent.  The ego’s responsibility is to do this in real-time (present tense) for the benefit of the Self. Learn tonight that it is important that we recognize the difference between our essential nature and the human ego. Ignoring this distinction is how the ego is falsely installed as our default compass.

Tonight's Topic: The Amazing Power of Deliberate Intent: Living the Art of Allowing Part 4 by Esther and Jerry Hicks

Description of the book: (copied from the book's back cover)

This leading edge book by Esther and Jerry Hicks, who present the teachings of the Non-Physical entity Abraham, is about having a deliberate intent for whatever you want in life, while at the same time balancing your energy and living the Art of Allowing along the way.  But it's important to note that the awareness of the need to balance your energy is much more significant than goal-setting or focusing on ultimate desires.  And it is from this very important distinction that this work has come forth.

Discipline as Nourishment for the Soul

    in Spirituality

Conflict is like poison in our lives, painful and potentially ruinous, yet people will endure it for the soul’s nourishment.  Tune in this week as Nancy Herold and I discus discipline as the willpower and serious intent that advances spiritual work. Spiritual maturity trains and nourishes this power to build an invincible authenticity. Psychologically, we know that the ego is the adaptive function that nourishes, educates and controls various complexes within the psyche. But, this is only accomplished through discipline. The soul or higher-self orchestrates our lives internally but is isolated from direct physical involvement. Tonight’s show talks about the soul’s dependence upon the human ego to carry out ‘the Work’ in the physical world. Tune in and learn how discipline is the management of forces for the coordinated whole. As long as these forces are under the firm command of the ego, things proceed successfully. If this discipline breaks down, the ego loses control.
