Victor Frankenstein - happy addition or falls short? Ep. 10 @ 9 p.m. eastern tim

    in Entertainment

There are many qualities of the Frankenstein legacy films that prove hard to live up to. Great actors and terrible writing have led to some rather up and down creations over the years. In this weeks episode, we are going to discuss those misfits and mansions of writing fortune and give a nice once over look to the newest family addition - Victor Frankenstein. This one was on my much watch list as soon as I heard about it, and I made a point to go and see it as soon as it came out! Was I disappointed? Was it overwhelmingly good? You will have to tune in to find out! Feel free to call in and discuss your favorites and if you have seen this movie, even better! Let's compare notes and see what we can come up with.

After you take the kids out for the tricks and treats tonight sit down and share some old time radio with them. On this special Halloween broadcast we have 5 short stories for you... Frankenstein!

The Australian production of FRANKENSTEIN starring George Edwards in many of the roles (people often made fun of the way Orson Welles would play two roles on Mercury Theater radio productions but George plays seven in this and about as many in DR JEKYLL AND MR HYDE—not so much because of his ego but because there just wasn’t enough money to hire all the actors they needed for these full length adaptations). This easrned him the title of “The Man with a Thousand Voices”.
The show was originally broadcast on 2GB in Sydney in 1931.

State of the Young Black Man 2016

    in Motivation

It's our second annual State of the Young Black Man address with Entrepreneur Marquis Coates and Young Activist Caleb Jackson.

If your not a young man, this will be a most enlivening, informational, and engaging address for your little brother, nephew, and any parents of young men.

How do we show them that school is not a right now job, but the foundation of your future? How do we keep them in school?

Despite making up just 13% of the population, blacks commit around half of homicides in the United States. Where do we start? Turning criminals into students and upstanding citizens sounds like an impossible charge.. but it's possible; we have to believe it is, but how? How is it possible?

Also, how do we become better young black fathers, realistically and perceptionally?

Entrepreneur Marquis Coates and Young Activist Caleb Jackson will be rejoining us for a compelling panel discussion!

    Victor Frankenstein Review

    in Movies

Marc and Shane take a look at Victor Frankenstein, and let you know if James McAvoy and Daniel Radcliffe can make something of the retelling/reimagining of one of the most popular "monster" stories ever.

Despite the theoretic drawing power of the stars, this one hasn't been doing well with critics, and probably won't draw a huge audience considering the competition, but we'll let you know if you should give it a chance.
