Did you know that lusting after someone based on their physical “attributes” is the same as committing adultery in God’s eyes? If you missed last year's classic episode of “The Dedan Tolbert Show” where we discussed “Betrayal…What’s OK and not OK in relationships”, listening to the archives is essential if you hope to one day have real love. To hear an in depth analyzation of the things that are absolutely unforgivable to men while in relationships, how God viewed and punished women in the Old testament who committed hoeish behavior, as well as a brief discussion of “Obamacare” and the effect its having on the poor/less fortunate, call 646 200 0366 or listen online worldwide 7 nights a week at www.dedantolbertshow.com. The good professor has decided to approach the most sensitive of issues that being the sorry state of race relation in America by using some of the lamest, most self-serving or just plain political (nuff said) excuses used since the civil rights movement, some dating back to the nineteenth century. Who's responsible is the syustem and the control, which is and always has-been forever, with brief periods of common sense followed by catostrophic change and repeat...it's like America has to wash it's hair occasionally, keeps the conservatives out. Will your intrepid host continue on any number of topics, sometimes even forgotten in mid-thought and you are assured that someone, somewhere, somehow is going to get toasted, maybe evan multiples.
When the Ark of the Convenant is brought into the camp of the Israelite army, it says this:
1 Samuel 4:5New Living Translation (NLT)
5 When all the Israelites saw the Ark of the Covenant of the Lord coming into the camp, their shout of joy was so loud it made the ground shake!
Can you imagine if the Christian church today had that level of joy in the presence of God, how it could impact society in a huge way? What reasons do we have to feel joy in our lives?
One week after another BYB podcast full of talk of what's wrong with the Tigers, Al and HookSlide revel in their undefeated week, ask what has changed, are impressed by Rick Porcello and J.D. Martinez, appreciate Torii Hunter's honestly, and wave back at Ian Kinsler.
Bless You Boys Podcast 117 was recorded June 27, 2014, has a running time of 56 minutes, and features Al Beaton and HookSlide.
Things were looking dire last week. The Tigers had lost 3 straight to the Royals, dropping 1 ½ games back and appeared well on their way to 3rd place. Seven days later, the Tigers have 7 wins in a row, and are back to 4 1/2 games up in the Central. But what's changed in one week?
Rick Porcello is off to the best start of his career. Thursday night he tossed his first career shutout and second complete game, raising his record to 10-4 and lowering his ERA to 3.41.
Dave Dombrowski tells MLB Network Radio the team is confident Joe Nathan has turned the corner, and that if the Tigers do add bullpen help ahead of the trade deadline, it'll likely be for a seventh- or eighth-inning guy.
J.D. Martinez is named AL Player of the Week, and continues to bash the living Hell out of the ball.
The Tigers' corner outfield positions are getting crowded. Torii Hunter sees the writing on the wall and tells the media he is willing to take a part-time role if that's best for the team.
Ian Kinsler homered in his first at-bat in his return to Arlington, then waved to the Texas bench when running to first (with a huge smile on his face).Flying under the radar is Kinsler's bat, which has been just as hot as the Tigers named Martinez.
Tigers have reacquired Daniel Schlereth, assigning him to Toledo.
All that, and more!
One of the most beautiful passages in the Bible is in this chapter. It has been used in probably millions and millions of weddings:
Ruth 1:16-17New King James Version (NKJV)
16 But Ruth said:
“Entreat me not to leave you,
Or to turn back from following after you;
For wherever you go, I will go;
And wherever you lodge, I will lodge;
Your people shall be my people,
And your God, my God.
17 Where you die, I will die,
And there will I be buried.
The Lord do so to me, and more also,
If anything but death parts you and me.”
