CASTLE GREY: A Kat and Mouse Mystery
There’s a fine line between genius and insanity. The home of such a man existed a hundred years ago. A rich, egotistical, megalomaniac built it and used it for science as well as pleasure. Now his great-grandson has returned to re-establish the family's traditions. Seven women are dead because of the curse of Castle Grey.
Tall, beautiful and intelligent, Special Agent Katherine Katt of the FBI was sent to Monterey, CA to find the man responsible for the murders of those seven women.
Detective Mickey (Mouse) James, of the Sacramento Police, was sent in an attempt to hide from the Mexican Cartel and to keep himself from getting killed. Oil and water is how you would describe their relationship. Katt is a good agent being held back from how she sees herself in the Bureau. James is a bully with an attitude. Castle Grey is their first attempt together to get their lives and careers back on track.
When puppeteer Marion collapses during a performance of Sleeping Beauty, her friend Fay Hubbard will carry on. But Fay already has her hands full with three demanding foster children—Apple and Beets, who have a fractious jailbird father, and sixteen-year-old Chance, who has a crush on an older guy in a band called Ghouls. And now Marion’s husband Cedric seems more interested in a drop-dead-gorgeous French teacher than with any string puppets. And who is the mysterious Skull-man who warns of death if the show goes on with one of Marion’s offbeat endings? When an autopsy reveals that Marion had swallowed a dose of deadly crushed yew—and a friend finds her half-sister dangling from a rod like a marionette, a shocked Fay goes after the killers.
LOOKING BACK AT THE LAST INNOCENT AGE
"It's the place you'll always call home. The place you run to --if only in your memories-- when you've lost your way and your compass can't find True North" --Craig Daliessio "Remembering America: Looking Back at the Last Innocent Age" is a wonderful, sentimental, humorous, and emotional journey that takes one last look at the childhood of the last of the Baby-Boomers and their little brothers and sisters. If you grew up in the 60's and 70's, you'll fall in love with every story. The images are sweet and reminiscent of a different time...and what most would say was a better time. Author Craig Daliessio chronicled these wonderful stories during his own time of turmoil and homelessness after losing his career in the collapse in 2008. The memories, and images and words became his refuge during the most difficult and desperate time in his life. In his own words-"The only stories that didn't make me laugh with their silliness, were the ones that made me cry with their poignant sweetness. It was such a great time and a great period in America. My neighbors were my family and my friends and I walked together into adulthood with a bond that my own daughter will never know. I set out to simply chronicle the past in an effort to get a new grip on the future. What I wound up doing was revisiting the best time of my life and an America I miss more each day." It's an engaging, wistful, wonderful voyage to a sweet place in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to have grown up in "The Last Innocent Ag
