During this episode, we explore the healing power of Laughter and Laughter Yoga! A daily dose of laughter is the one solution having the power to unwind stress and uplift joy; the power to slow down a racing heart and strengthen the mind; the power to raise the spirit and fend off pessimism…and all in an instant! Created in 1995, Laughter Yoga is a unique modality that can directly tap anyone into the healing power of laughter. Our Co-Host, Rob Fournier, recently received his Laughter Yoga instructor certification, and we are excited to experience this fun healing modality with you on the air!
Hailing from Mumbai, India, Dr. Madan Kataria, a medical doctor, and his wife Madhuri Kataria, a yoga instructor, tapped into their extensive combined wellness knowledge to create Laughter Yoga using a combination of rhythmic clasping, deep breathing, light stretching, and laughter exercises. Based on scientific fact that the body cannot differentiate between fake and real laughter, this powerfully healing modality has spread to where today there are more than a thousand laughter clubs in over 72 countries. Clinical research has proven that laughter lowers the level of stress hormones, such as epinephrine and cortisol, in the blood. Additional benefits of laughter:
-Boost immune system
-Reduces blood pressure
-Expands lung capacity
-Lifts mild depression
-Increases oxygen to the lungs
-Exercises abdomen and diaphragm

Laughter is the universal language. From countries all over the globe, including the rich cultures of Africa, Arabia, Persia and Native America, "Proverbial Laughter" takes popular proverbs and turns them into tidbits of contemporary wit, wisdom and laughter.
All the world's a stage. Western culture says, "Know yourself." The Eastern says, "Become yourself." The world is ready for a meeting of these two in "Proverbial Laughter of the World."
Why laugh at Cancer? Join Dr. Sharon Johnson in the fight against Cancer with laughter. Laughter is the best medicine. What is Humor Therapy?
Description: Humor therapy is the use of humor for the relief of physical or emotional pain and stress. It is used as a complementary method to promote health and cope with illness.
Overview: Although available scientific evidence does not support claims that laughter can cure cancer or any other disease (to admit humor's curative powers would cost them big $$$, therefore, no dice), it can reduce stress and enhance a person's quality of life. Humor has physical effects because it can stimulate the circulatory system, immune system, and other systems in the body.
How is it promoted for use? Humor therapy is generally used to improve quality of life, provide some pain relief, encourage relaxation, and reduce stress. Researchers have described different types of humor. Passive humor results from seeing prepared material, such as a funny movie, standup comedy, or an amusing book. Spontaneous or unplanned humor involves finding humor in everyday situations (umm, you mean like having a sense of humor.)

Don't worry, be happy and the answer to HAPPINESS is LAUGHTER!
LAUGHTER, laugh your way to health and happiness. Many over the age of 90 attribute their longevity to LAUGHING and NOT TAKING LIFE tooo SERIOUS!
Our bodies are a triangle...structure-chemical/electrical...emotional...physical.
LAUGHTER IS UNIVERSAL. The process involves every major system in the body. It's spiritual, physiological and emotional.
Health benefits of laughing...dilation of cardiovascular system which helps keep our flexibility. When we laugh, the heart rate and blood pressure go way up and drops down below the norm.
Five year olds laugh up to 300 times a day...etc.
Adults laugh only 5-10 minutes a day if that...etc.
Humor, we view funny things...etc.

As we move deeper into the transition that is taking place on planet Earth, the Pleiadians tell us that the time has now come for us to start mastering the energetic tools that will enable us to consciously complete our awakening and self-healing process.
The new frequencies of light and sound that are now hitting the planet are awakening us to remembrance of and reconnection with our true Selves.
In each episode of this twice-monthly show, international teacher, author, healer, and Pleiadian Ambassador, Christine Day, will present a new body of information and transmissions of sacred tones and codes specifically designed to act as energetic keys to unlock the information residing within the matrix of our cellular structure.
One of the key messages of the Pleiadians is that we must accept our humanity and imperfections in order to facilitate the process of our own self-birthing into the Universal Consciousness. By integrating these human aspects of our Self with our Higher Nature we will more easily navigate our way through this transition.
Christine Day Online airs on the first and third Monday of each month at 2:30PM Central time.

Tonight and the rest of this week we are going to discuss Cleavers NOTES ON NATIVE SON. In this we will discuss the theory of self hate and displaced love for those who are your enemy and enemy to the thought of a life of liberation for Black People. "After reading a couple of James Baldwin's books, I began experiencing that continuous delight one feels upon discovering a fascinating, brilliant talent on the scene, a talent capable of penetrating so profoundly into one's own little world that one knows oneself to have unalterably changed and liberated from the frustrating grasp of whatever Devils happen to process one. Being a Negro, I have found this to be a rare and infrequent experience, for few of my black brothers and sisters her in America have achieved the power, which James Baldwin calls his revenge, which outlast kingdoms: the power of doing whatever cats like Baldwin do when combining the alphabet with the with the volatile elements of his soul. (And, like it or not, a black man, unless he has become irretrievably "white-minded, " responds with additional dimension of his being to the articulated experience of another black---in spite of the universality of human experience.)
I as I imagine many others did and still do, lusted for any-thing that Baldwin had written. It would have been a gas for me to sit on a pillow beneath the womb of Baldwin's typewriter and catch each newborn page as it entered this world of ours. I was delighted that Baldwin, with those great big eyes of his, which one thought to be fixedly focused on the microcosm, could also pierce the microcosm. And although he was so full of sound, he was not noisy writer like Ralph Ellison. He placed so much of my own experience, which I thought I had understood, into new perspective."
