The podcast series, produced under the Coalition For Change, Inc. (C4C) Radio Network offers first hand insight from victims of race discrimination, retaliation and related civil rights whistleblowing activity. Guest speakers in the - Domestic Threat - series will address the true conspiratorial workplace culture throughout the Federal government including the U.S. Department of Justice, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

Episode 1:  Tanya Ward Jordan, the President of the Coalition For Change, Inc. (C4C) and the creator of Domestic Threat, discusses the impetus for airing ominous workplace accounts of present and former Federal employees.  Ms. Ward Jordan discusses the importance of sharing stories of civil servants, many returning military, who suffered and continue to suffer emotionally, financially, physically and psychologically due to unchecked bullying, discrimination and reprisal in the Federal workplace.  In the introductory podcast series creator (Ward Jordan) disccusses the presence of fear in the federal workplace, discusses the lack of consequences for civil rights violations, tells how the government fails to impose mandatory discipline on civil rights violators and offers solutions to change the Federal workplace from a "fear" system to a "free system" to foster a safe society.

Tips for Increasing Your Workplace Presence in 2016

    in Business

Have you ever wondered why some people get noticed and others don't? Start your new year off right with some strategies for increasing your presence. During this episode of the Employee Engagement Corner, Image Expert, Ron Rapatalo, offers some helpful tips for building a winning image and how to afford it.

Ron Rapatalo leads and supports hiring searches for leadership roles for school districts, charter schools and nonprofits independently and in partnership with firms including the Offor Walker Group.  As a product of NYC public schools, he saw the power of education and leadership to change his life and career trajectory.   Ron also does career coaching and men’s personal styling.  As a career coach, he gives career advice on how to navigate career transitions and present oneself from networking to interviewing.  Ron’s fifth grade teacher, Mr. Seluga was his most memorable coach for telling Ron he could choose ANY career he wanted. As a men’s personal stylist through J.Hilburn, Ron brings the tailor to a man’s home or workplace and provides wardrobe recommendations that accentuate a man’s personal style.   He believes that a well-dressed man is a more confident man.

Outside of work, he does kickboxing and yoga. He has been married for five years and has a beautiful (almost) two year old daughter, Sofia.  In his volunteer activities, he's active in the NYU Alumni Association, iMentor, React to Film, and Latinas on the Verge of Excellence (L.O.V.E.)

You are One Acquisition Away from a Multi-Vendor Environment

    in Technology

Despite exploding popularity, there is only so much room for technology providers in the telehealth and collaboration markets, according to Dan Klanderman, Senior Solutions Architect for Iron Bow Technologies. He predicts continued consolidation through acquisitions and even market exits in 2016.

To avoid being stuck with an obsolete technology, Klanderman suggests investing in collaboration technology from a long-term perspective. “Interoperability is key,” he said, and advises avoiding working with technology providers that create siloes or offer technology that doesn’t work well with other technology.

“Some providers actually design technology as a walled garden,” he shared. “I recommend avoiding that and finding technology that is interoperable with what you already have with a manufacturer that is committed to interoperability.”

Klanderman says that because hospitals, researchers and others in the industry must be able to reach out seamlessly to patients and each other, interoperability is key to growing with the market. He also pointed out that, like in the tech world, acquisitions and mergers are common in the healthcare industry. “You are just one acquisition away from becoming a multi-vendor environment,” he explained.

As a result, his motto for 2016 is to invest in a collaboration solution that can flex and grow with you.
