Thus Self Confidence is about one’s abilities, while Self Esteem is about one’s sense of worth as a person. Let’s look at what this means through an example…
When you go for a job interview, self confidence is the quality that causes you to believe that the interviewer will find you qualified, and offer you a job. Self esteem is the quality that causes you to believe that you are a valuable person whose life is important — regardless of the opinion of the interviewer and of whether you are offered the job.
How to Gain Self Confidence
Those who believe they can do something
and those who believe they can’t
are both right.
– Henry Ford
Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm.
– Winston Churchill
How Self Confidence and Self Esteem Reinforce Each Other
Trust yourself, then you will know how to live.
– Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.
– Eleanor Roosevelt

Author Barbara Hofmeister will join us in a rebroadcast show from Germany as she discusses Self-Esteem from her perspective. She will also speak from her book "To Be Or Not To Be - The Choice is Yours." She says that it is her passion and purpose to help people build their self-esteem to the extent that they dare to make their dreams come true. - High Self-Esteem speaks to the level of integrity you have; real inner confrontations won; reconciling your inner self with your outer self which is the basis of this book. It is also about assessing our real courage and how honesty is attained and internalized. High self-esteem is much more than just feeling good about your self. It is reflected in your personality, your productivity at work and at home with your family, your character, your general way with people, and the spirit that you carry with you always.
On today’s Faith Time with Faye Nicole Hines we will talk about confidence and low self-esteem. Ever heard the scripture, “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he” (Proverbs 23:7). Well this verse is more than true. What you think about yourself, good or bad, is affecting your life in ways you can’t imagine.

I, Nazim Rashid, Life Coach, Personal Development Specialist, Author and Radio Talk Show Host is covering the show today on Self Esteem based on my book Reconnected-How To Be A Mentor To Your Child-Self. Having a high self-esteem is essential to anyone’s growth and development. Having low self-esteem opens the doors to untold dark possibilities as those possibilities match how you feel. Self-esteem pertains to how you experience yourself, how you think and feel about yourself, not how other people think or feel about you. Genuine self-esteem is you trusting you, you believing in you, you having confidence in your own mind and in your own ability to judge; You experiencing yourself as deserving of happiness, you perceiving yourself as a decent, worthwhile lovable person. Often when you hear people talk about self-esteem, you hear simply that it means “how you feel.” This by itself is so misleading, for you can feel good by taking drugs or by having the adrenaline rush of robbing a bank. You can also feel good by listening to some surreptitious gossip, being involved in a drive-by shooting, or just watching a thrilling horror movie. You can tell where your self-esteem level is by your self-talk. Listen to this program and raise your self-value and change your self-talk. Get Reconnected by going to www.cloudsofabundance.com

Larry Kiser, Chinese Energetic Practitioner, will join me on the program today to discuss the Reclaiming of Self Esteem. Larry will introduce the idea of Timeless Awareness and his intention for the call is to support listeners in releasing old patterns of inner conflict through immediate corrections at the subconscious level. Thus listeners may actually have a healing while listening to the call!
Larry says that freeing ourselves of resentment and letting go of blame, accusation, regret and judgement allows more energy and emotional resources for being more of the person you want to be. In addition, Self Esteem is greatly enhanced with the healing of major life events such as divorce or illness, inner conflicts as well as well as the healing of life shaping events such as conflicts with peers, parents, teachers or one's boss.
After the healing from Larry, listeners are welcomed to share their experience and how they NOW feel.
Larry Kiser has worked in the healing field for over 20 years. His practice is influenced by study and work with Russian scientists, an ex CIA operative, Mayan Elders, a Shaolin Master, the Emissaries of Divine Light, various Spiritual teachers, years of working with clients, and his own Spiritual Guides. His teaching and practice includes national and international work in the U.S., Canada, Germany, Latvia, Mexico and Hong Kong.
