Long ago, their were times in which I didn't like the thought of a purse, didn't want to carry one, didn't have a need to be bothered with a purse. I always tried to find a way of carrying and cramming everything into my pockets. No thief is going to rob me right, because I don't have a purse. But as I got older, I found out, hey, these things are pretty neat. So I began to fall in love with purses, some coach bags, and many other designs, still not a huge fan of them, but hey! it will work for now.
So a few years ago as I began to start a new pitch in life; all types of ideas and entrepreneurial thoughts came to mind. So this is what this blog is actually about, not the purse that we carry around, bu the purse we carry inside. Whats's in your purse?, What's in your passions?, your dreams?, your DNA?, your career life?, your goals?, what you have accomplished?, what you have achieved?, where do you see yourself this time next year? So many times we plan goals for the next five years, but technology is rapidly changing, your goals need to be every year now, not five to ten years down the road.
My purse contains essentials in which I can provide more to my business, my clients, my networking circle, and its not just locally, it's globally. I want my purse to say more than what my business cards and websites can speak for me. At the start of our business, I was always scrambling for words to tell people about our vision and mission of the business. Of course this will take time as you are growing towards your potential. But the more I worked effectively on the business, the mission became a reality to me and no longer had to think, scramble, or figure out what or who I was in the business, but I knew.

Part of mission here on our show is to talk about music, educating the masses about what is good music. Today's show is about women musicians who rock. Sometimes, women have been overlooked or not given credit for their talent in the music industry. We'll be celebrating all things female in the rock and roll genre, but probably be discussing other genres too. By the way, this is our talk show, so no readings! If you want a reading, you can go to Lisa's website: punkrockpsychic.com.

Iris and Priya return for another candid conversation about women entering the wisdom years of 60! Join us for another engaging conversation about things we often do not really talk about in public, at least honestly and openly. Todays episode is about "happy to be single". So many of us women are single in our midlife. In a culture that is fixated on being in relationship as the only path to fulfillment for a woman, being single can be a real challenge. The big one is being alright with being single in the face of all of the negative conditioning that we have grown up with that tells us that we are not ok if we are not together with someone aka "Married". Once we get over that big hurdle and settle into ourselves then there are the questions of how to get our social, sexual and intimacy needs met. It takes a village of the sisterhood to break through the viels that keep us isolated, alone and in despair about our being single. Let's move through it together so that we can celebrate our lives as sovereign women loving oursleves and eachother!
Janicka Bassis was born in Chicago from Czechoslovakian Immigrants. Her mother Melanie Everet was one of the first women in commercial real estate in America and she taught her four daughters that there was no such a thing as a glass ceiling and that only stars were the limits. Janicka studied at the prestigious Sophia University, Tokyo Japan and went also to the French National School Beaux Arts in Paris and received a scholarship from the Art Institute of Chicago.
Janicka's dream was to be a portrait artist. Unfortunately her husband fell ill and she became the sole bread winner of the family. After 7 years spent in the hotel industry specialising in the Japanese Market she followed the trails of her mother and started her very successful real estate career in 1987. She became one of the first Women Directors in France to sell commercial French Real Estate to the International Market. She created the first real estate transaction department in a French bank in 1993 and sold the then largest shopping center in France. She also created the first investment department for Foncia Entreprise as well as a family real estate fund with her sister in Vienna, Austria . Her Internet career began in 2012 when she was asked to develop a real estate social network for Institutional investors called Belbex where she worked for 2 years as International Development Director. Janicka enjoyed learning about start ups and Internet technology.
She blazed the trail for other young women to enter that profession. She has been enjoying helping women for 25 years now which is also why she founded W.W.I.R.E the World Women In Real Estate network.
Janicka lives in Paris, she speaks fluently French and Japanese and is now looking forward to learning Chinese.
