Empowering Women and Changing Lives- Guest Tiffini Cartozian

    in Pets

In the year 2000 I inherited 4 yorkies whose owner passed away. Over the next 14 years, I lost them one by one. Because of my love for them, I found a passion and purpose for my life.  This is why I have started Yorkie Rescue of America. I want to give back.  I want to rescue the breed that rescued me 13 years ago. I want to enrich people’s lives with the love these little ones give. Our mission at Yorkie Rescue of America is to rescue Yorkshire Terriers from shelters as well as take in owner surrenders.

changing the beliefs that control our lives

    in Self Help

We live a life in a box of beliefs that have been handed down and passed on to us by others, others who themselves have lived a life of pain and suffereing from the beliefs that were passed on to them. It's time to challenge our limiting beliefs and create new ones, to step out of the prison we have put ourselves in for most of our lives.

LiVE: Are Blackmen Short Changing Black Women when it comes to LOVE?

    in Music

LiVE: Are Blackmen Short Changing  Black Women when it  comes to LOVE?

Strong Black Women seem to find it extremely challenging to find a worthy mate, companion, or life partner. Even when they do meet a suitable person of interest many times because of his emotional or past challenges, we (the men) take ourselves out of the game. One of the things I hear the most from women is, "I'm not going to raise a grown man." So while he seems suitable in some regards his ability to not handle his own business properly (whatever that may be) becomes a turnoff. Once she feels like she's starting to settle or lower her standards in the relationship or dating phase her guard goes up and the distance begins.

Fellas, if you have found the woman of your dreams do everything in your power to work on yourself! Not for her, but for her! Let me explain; Don't do it to impress her but do it to be a better man for her! As hard as it is for a woman to find a good man, it is equally as hard for a good man to find a good woman. So don't let your past issues or personal issues sabotage a good thing. God has given us the ability to grow and overcome any emotional, or physical challenge we face in this dating game!!!

    1. Never portray yourself larger than what you really are:

The day of showing our representative must die! Show her from the door who you really are, and be honest about your intentions no matter what they my be. A Strong Black Woman (S.B.W.) will uncover it in a short amount of time anyway so be yourself. Have a purpose behind dating her! Let her know you have standards also...

    2. Follow through:3. Don't play victim:5. Vision:6. Express emotions:7. Money:8. Freedom10. Power Couples

Why Do Smart, Successful & Independent Women Struggle With Their Love Lives?

    in Entertainment

Today, everyone is equal. Women have the same rights as men and are able to do what they please. It’s understandable that women have a hard time working on a construction site but why is it so hard for them to succeed in fields like business/politics? This happens because these “systems” have been built on the male mind.

In order for women to become successful and independent and to have high power jobs in business and politics they need to become, at least in the way they think, men. As hard as this may seem, many women manage to achieve this goal.

    The Downside

Because these women have tried so hard to fit into these male dominated fields, they have essentially lost their feminine side. This is fantastic for their careers but devastating for their love lives. No man will ever want to marry another man; he wants to marry a woman that has the qualities of a woman. Even if these qualities didn’t mean much to the average guy, he could still not handle the fact that his girlfriend/wife is more successful than him or makes more money.

Unfortunately, this is the major love-life struggle that smart, successful and independent women face today.

    Black Women's Lives Matter too

    in Politics

In the outrage over the lack of justice for Michael Brown, Ezell Ford, Eric Garner and the several others who died at the hands of law enforcement, there was an erasure of the black women, girls and queer folks who had met the same fate within some of the protests. Yet the Silence of Black women being brutalized is disturbing....This Episode we'll take a look at the How black women became an after thought in the movement they created.
