Iris and Priya return for another candid conversation about women entering the wisdom years of 60! Join us for another engaging conversation about things we often do not really talk about in public, at least honestly and openly. Todays episode is about "happy to be single". So many of us women are single in our midlife. In a culture that is fixated on being in relationship as the only path to fulfillment for a woman, being single can be a real challenge. The big one is being alright with being single in the face of all of the negative conditioning that we have grown up with that tells us that we are not ok if we are not together with someone aka "Married". Once we get over that big hurdle and settle into ourselves then there are the questions of how to get our social, sexual and intimacy needs met. It takes a village of the sisterhood to break through the viels that keep us isolated, alone and in despair about our being single. Let's move through it together so that we can celebrate our lives as sovereign women loving oursleves and eachother!
Join Vaccine Rights Attorney Alan Phillips, J.D. (co-host Dr. Sherri Tenpenny is still on sabbatical) as he discusses the end of vaccine religious exemptions in Australia, and how powerful American freedom of religion is, at least for now; an article claiming that the Head of the FBI's anthrax investigation (post 9/11) was a sham; how best to get a legal argument to your state representative, when the legal argument explains why a vaccine bill seeking to restrict non-medical exemptions is unconstitutional, to discourage the representative from supporting the bill; why some state constitutions may require the state to offer a religious exemption even though the federal Constitution probably does not; whether or not language in some state constitutions about religious liberty includes philosophical beliefs; and more! We women are the weavers of the social fabric of life. Love is the bottom line of our lives. Relationship is of prime importance to us. Yet, in our tormented world we are cut off from this core value and suffer in our relationships with our mates, children, friends, and work colleagues. It is time to come together, drop our guard, reconnect in sacred sisterhood, acknowledge what we all share as common heritage as women and learn how to truly support ourselves and one another for our personal and planetary healing and transformation. By sharing our vulnerable truth and being witnessed by one another with compassion, empathy and care we can create the culture of love that is our birthright as women. Join Iris and Priya in intimate and open conversations about what we women face as we go through the unique portal after menopause into our sixties - the entrance into our wisdom years.
Join Vaccine Rights Attorney Alan Phillips, J.D. (co-host Dr. Sherri Tenpenny is on sabbatical until the end of April) as he discusses new vaccine restrictions in Australia and some differences in Australian and American law; why pediatrician Annie Sparrow backed out of a vaccine debate with Attorney Phillips at the last minute, and why it's likely that pro-vaccine advocates will *never* agree to debate anti-vaccine advocates; why the vaccine controversy is every bit as much a legal issue as it is a medical issue; what to do when your child is vaccinated against your wishes; why all states and the federal government offer medical exemptions, and what qualifies for a medical exemption; and more! When one partner in a couple lacks much interest or desire for sex it can wreak havoc on the partnership. Often, women over 40 experience a significant loss of libido related to not only hormonal changes, but also circumstances surrounding their relationships. Husbands tend to feel rejected, frutrated, and controlled by their wives' sexual indifference. Wives experience a great deal of pressure, resulting in much stress on the marriage, disconnection, and sometimes divorce.
In this 45 minute episode Susan Lager co-hosts with Dr. Terri Vanderlinde, a Board Certified OB-GYN for more than 25 years, and the owner of a solo integrative GYN and sex counseling practice, My Friend's Gynecologist, in Dover, NH. Dr. Vanderlinde is passionate about empowering women and their partners to have healthy, satisfying sex at any age.
This episode will teach you about the myths and realities surrounding an issue which plagues so many couples. You will find out what you need to know about the causes of low libido around menopause, as well as what you and your partner can do to move toward meaningful change.
