X100 Mountain Bike Race
May 2, 7:30 am Mountain Time.
Race director of the new X100, John Kolarevic, joins the show to discuss his new Michigan endurance mountain bike race set for August 24th near Traverse City.
Listeners are welcome to call in and ask about the event. Are you wondering about the schedule or the course, this is your chance to get the exact info!
Description from the X100 Race Website:
"The X100, Michigan’s Ultimate Mountain Bike Xventure, starts and finishes at Beautiful RANCH RUDOLF nestled right on the Boardman River just 15 miles South of Traverse City.
The race is 100 miles of twisting single track that winds in and out of county gravel roads, two tracks and fire roads. Bikers roll through the most beautiful terrain Michigan has to offer: deep woods and steep hills dotted with pristine lakes, streams and ponds. The X100 has some killer cross-country riding – until now – known only by die-hard locals."

Listen in as we chat with Cimarron Chacon, President of Gro Promotions. We'll discuss what she has going on in Southwestern Utah.
Gro Promotions, Frog Hollow races and the True Grit were conceived as a way to build their cycling culture by bringing mountain bikers together, to improve their communities awareness of Mountain Biking and all its benefits, and to showcase the amazing terrain and extensive network of trails found in Southwestern Utah to new riders.
Still in it's infancy, the True Grit Epic has become the season opener for the National Endurance Series.

A Pilgrimage by Bike - Girls and Gears
7:30pm Eastern Time, Tuesday, April 30
Danielle is back with another episode of Girls & Gears. In this episode, she talks with Jill Martindale and Emma Higgins.
Last September, Jill and Emma battled adverse physical and mental conditions to complete an 18 day, self-supported 1,350 mile ride along the Lake Superior Circle Tour.
It was the second of the great lakes for Jill, who plans to ride all five before trying her hand at the Tour Divide. The trip had been a first for Emma, who liked it so much that she is joining Jill around Lake Ontario this July. They met a few neat cyclists along the way, got their spirits squashed by Canadian locals, and saw a bald eagle in every tree.
Be sure to listen to hear all the details!

The Dirt: USAC Rule
This show is going to be an open discussion about the latest rule USAC is enforcing. I'm hoping that we all can work together to make this sport better, and not continue to work against each other's best interest.
Please be clear that this is not meant to be USAC bashing. We really want to figure out the best way going forward and want to discuss what is going on and how to proceed.
Anyone is welcome to call in during the show to share their thoughts. If you'd like to be on the show, please email info@mountainbikeradio.com.
Check out the "Clarification of UCI Rule 1.2.019 and related sanctions."

The Dirt: Payson and Sepp of Durango Devo Elite Squad
Durango is well known for the outstanding riding available in the area. I lived there for three years and can say it is amazing!
On top of that, they have a very good development program out of the area. A few years back, the Durango Devo Elite squad emerged. This squad is full of up and coming young development riders who are crushing it even at the Pro level.
Tonight we will talk with two of those riders, Payson McElveen and Sepp Kuss, about their experiences including training, racing, nutrition, and the developments into the Pro field.
