Author William Turner Debuts Murder In Our Midst

    in Books

William Turner spent his formative years in New England. He was educated in the private, parochial school system, and is presently retired from State Service (State of California), as a Supervisor.

He has one son (Ontario), and three grandchildren. His grandson is serving in the United States Air Force. His daugher in law Bridgette, is a practicing Pediatrician. William has apsired, so long ago, to be a priest, but felt at the time, he had not been exposed enough to life to walk away and close the monastery door. His subsequent exposure to life sullied him beyond any aspiration to the priesthood.

William now lives in Lancaster, California, spending much of his time doing penance, reflecting on his countless errors in judgment. William's penchant for writing mysteries stems from his exposure to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's stories and those of Agatha Christie. He mentor was Sister Anges Bernard - his high school English teacher.

    William Lockley - FOCUS™

    in Health

It took a serious health scare to give William Lockley the wake-up call he needed. At just 28, the restaurant co-owner and high school athletics coach knew he had taken his unhealthy lifestyle too far. William had been overweight since childhood & deemed himself as the big kid.
After playing football in college, his activity level while his eating habits remained the same. His weight ballooned to 300 pounds. He would randomly have nose bleeds & breathing became an exercise in itself.  He would get sick a lot more often & always felt tired sluggish & his moods were bi-polar pushing him to becoming a lot more socially withdrawn.
It was then William started a strict regimen of HIRT (High Intensity Resistance Training). His business partner joined him during his workouts, which gave him accountability & motivation. Once he had a solid foundation, he started a journey that transformed his body in 9 months losing 140+ pounds & has never looked back!
Lockley now runs a boot camp in Miami where he helps others achieve their fitness goals. We are so happy to have William on the show as he helps others FOCUS & Follow One Course Until Successful™

Boston State Senator William Owens, with Donald Brown on The Gist of Freedom

    in Education

Boston State Senator William Owens, with Donald Brown on The Gist of Freedom and TANDLRADIO.COM! This show is in honor of George Edwin Taylor!

More than one hundred years before Barack Obama, George Edwin Taylor made presidential history. Born in the antebellum South to an enslaved black man  and a freed woman, Taylor became one of the first African American ticketed as a political party’s nominee for president of the United States, running against Theodore Roosevelt in 1904.
    ------
    Read it here http://bit.ly/BlackPresCandidate
    ------
Orphaned as a child at the peak of the Civil War, Taylor spent several years homeless before boarding a Mississippi riverboat that dropped him in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Taken in by an African American farm family, Taylor attended a private school and eventually rose to prominence as the owner and editor of a labor newspaper and as a vocal leader in Wisconsin’s People’s Party. At a time when many African Americans felt allegiance to the Republican Party for its support of abolition, Taylor’s sympathy with the labor cause drew him first to the national Democratic Party and then to an African American party, the newly formed National Liberty Party, which in 1904 named him its presidential candidate.
