Relationship Day: Who Are You Really??????

    in Entertainment

Tonight we will be discussing why men/women don't show who they really are off top.  Why does it take being in a committed relationship for your true colors to come out?  When you are getting to know someone do you show them the real you or an immitation of who you are?  Do you think this is being deceitful?  Any any relationship whether dating, family, co workers should you be afraid to be who you really are for fear of judgment?   Will people being judged from their pass in prior relationships discourage the person from showing their true selves?  Tune in tonight from 7pm to 9pm and call in at 347-308-8813 to join in the conversation.

WHAT DO YOU REPRESENT? Your Clerical Garments, Vestments, Ministry, Etc.

    in Religion

As the book of Judges declare, each man did what was right in his own eyes.  Yet, if we proclaim to be apart of the Kingdom of God, why are we not doing what is RIGHT IN GOD'S EYES.

Jesus says I do what I see my Father do!

What you wear, speaks volume about who you are?

Clothes can make our break a person.

What type of ministry are you building?

Whose kingdom are you actually an ambassador of?

Vestments are about doing ministry.  Clericals are about doing ministry.

BE KIND TO YOU AND LOVING OTHERS WILL FOLLOW---RELEASE THOSE WHO BRING YOU DOWN

    in Spirituality

JOIN MARA AND BOB TO DISCUSS THE QUESTION "DO YOU FOCUS YOUR MIND ON THOSE WHO BRING YOU DOWN OR THOSE WHO LIFT YOU UP?"  IT IS MORE LIKELY THAN NOT, PROBABLE, THAT THERE HAVE BEEN TIMES WHEN ALL OF US HAVE ALLOWED OUR MINDS TO FOCUS ON THOSE WHO PUT US DOWN, JUDGE US, TALK BADLY ABOUT US AND GENERALLY LEAVE US FEELING LESS THAN.  DURING SUCH TIMES WHEN WE BECOME OBSESSED WITH NOT BEING ENOUGH, IT IS NOT UNCOMMON TO ALSO INVEST TIME TRYING TO SHOW THE PERSON(S) "ABUSING" US THAT THEY ARE WRONG.  IN ESSENCE WE GIVE THEM OUR POSITIVE ENERGY AS A RESULT OF THEM TREATING US NEGATIVELY.

THESE TIMES LEAVE LITTLE ROOM FOR POSITIVE THOUGHT---FOR HAPPINESS. INSTEAD WE ARE ACTUALLY WASTING PRECIOUS MOMENTS IN OUR LIVES FOCUSING ON NEGATIVITY AND OTHER PEOPLE WHO MISS OUR INNER BEAUTY.  WE DO THIS EVEN THOUGH WE HAVE NO CONTROL OVER OTHERS.  SOMETIMES WE WILL IGNORE THOSE WHO REACH OUT TO US IN KINDNESS AS WE WORK TO GARNER THE FAVOR OF THOSE WHO ARE BEATING US DOWN.

THIS BEHAVIOR PATTERN DESTROYS THE NOW AND ALL WE HAVE IS NOW.  ITS TIME TO ACCEPT EVERYONE WILL NOT LIKE US AND HOLD CLOSE---LIFT UP---THOSE WHO TREAT US KINDLY, THOSE WHO DO LIKE US.  WHEN WE FOCUS OUR MINDS ON LOVE---WE RELEASE THE CONTROL THE NON-LOVERS HAVE ON US AND FREE OUR MINDS TO SEND LOVE TO THEM RATHER THAN EMPOWERING THEIR NEGATIVITY BY FRETTING OVER THAT WE CANNOT CHANGE.  RECLAIM YOUR POWER AND BE LOVE---STARTING WITH LOVING YOU.

People inspire you or they drain you.  Pick them wisely. ---Hans F. Hansen

Who Is Like You Lord? No One That I Know!

    in Religion

Please join me  Tuesday June 9th at 11am CST  as I discuss  some of the attributes of God. Can we know His nature and character? Can we know some of His likes and dislikes?  Does He share them with us?

"The enemy said, `I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; My desire shall be gratified against them; I will draw out my sword, my hand will destroy them.' (Exodus 15:9)

"You blew with Your wind, the sea covered them; They sank like lead in the mighty waters. (Exodus 15:10)

"Who is like You among the gods, O LORD? Who is like You, majestic in holiness, Awesome in praises, working wonders? (Exodus 15:11)

There is no one like Him?  As you make it your Quest to find out about Him. He will reveal Himself to you.

And then you will know for yourself. There is no One like Him. The cool thing is. He wants to reveal Himself to you. Because he loves you.

He is longing for you to ask Him- Lord revdeal Yourself to me.

Taking Responsibility for Our Own Health with Barbara Slaine

    in Lifestyle

When mortality taps us on the shoulder, most of us pay attention.  Life threatening illness is an attention getting device that says to do whatever it takes to make the journey back from the brink.  Barbara Slaine made that journey, and freely shares the knowledge of what it takes to take control of your own health.

Barbara put her life in her life back on the path to a health and balance through a combination of traditional and holistic healing.  Now she shares the knowledge she gained at her informational site www.MyHealingRooms.com.  This is a free online resource which is a portal to alternative healing modalities

meant to empower people to take control of their own health with the power of knowledge of both western and alternative medicine. According to Barbara Slaine: “Everyone will tell you what you should to and for your body, ……but you have to live in it!   … You have to take control of your health!”

Facing her known mortality, Barbara Slaine had to take control or her health care decisions… and that required a steep learning curve.  Regaining her health, she decided to make that learning path easier for others.

.Barbara’s approach to personal health responsibility for our own health means having a  consciousness about our being.  This includes all parts of our being: mind-body-soul-spirit.

  • What Or Who Is Leading You?

    in Christianity

Have you ever been lost and could not find your way? Do you own a GPS in your car or on your cell? Have you ever read a map? Have you asked for directions from someone? We all have been directed in a way whether we found our destination or we got lost. Looking for employment, going back to school, buying a house, starting a business or whatever God has lead you to do, allow God to be God. Trust in His word that He will bring you through. Let us learn from Solomon. Will you trust in Him? Or will you trust in your own understanding?

How to balance mourning& living author Donna Mebane (Mebbin) of Tomorrow Comes

    in Lifestyle

Each day catalysts in our lives affect us.  Sometimes they are so small we hardly notice them.  A smile from someone passing us on the street may elevate our mood; hearing a song on the radio may trigger a memory that brings clarity to why we behave in a certain way. Sometimes these events are more immediately significant, like the loss of a job.

And, every once in a while, we are hit by a catalyst with the magnitude of an avalanche, an event so significant that our very survival is at stake. This is what happened to Donna Mebane. The catalyst to her journey was the unexpected and yet unexplained loss of her nineteen year old daughter, Emma.  What she learned and how she has manifested it is a fascinating look at how we choose to move forward in life – and what just might happen when we do.

Donna Mebane grew up wanting to be two things: a mother and a writer. She became a mom after the birth of her first child, Jason. She became a writer after the death of her youngest child, Emma.

While Donna has had numerous writing experiences over the years, she became a published author after she wrote Tomorrow Comes as a way of envisioning a future for her 19-year-old daughter who went to sleep one night and never woke up. She calls Tomorrow Comes a work of “reality fiction” because it captures the reality of grief that family and friends endured after Emma died at the same time that it creates an enchanting fictional world of AFTER where Emma can continue to be herself
