Lunchtime with Kimmie - What Is faith?

    in Spirituality

    What Is Faith?

11 Faith means being sure of the things we hope for and knowing that something is real even if we do not see it. 2 Faith is the reason we remember great people who lived in the past.

3 It is by faith we understand that the whole world was made by God’s command so what we see was made by something that cannot be seen.

4 It was by faith that Abel offered God a better sacrifice than Cain did. God said he was pleased with the gifts Abel offered and called Abel a good man because of his faith. Abel died, but through his faith he is still speaking.

5 It was by faith that Enoch was taken to heaven so he would not die. He could not be found, because God had taken him away. Before he was taken, the Scripture says that he was a man who truly pleased God. 6 Without faith no one can please God. Anyone who comes to God must believe that he is real and that he rewards those who truly want to find him.

7 It was by faith that Noah heard God’s warnings about things he could not yet see. He obeyed God and built a large boat to save his family. By his faith, Noah showed that the world was wrong, and he became one of those who are made right with God through faith.

Coming To Terms With Faith: What Do You Believe?

    in The Bible

What we blieve and what occupies our mind directs our lives. There's no getting around it. We can go to church for years and not believe what we hear. How can this be? It's much like sitting in a class and listening to the professor teach week after week, but not taking notes or really putting personal trust or value into what is being taught, so we just drift from class to class, not really learning or applying what is being taught. Jesus said it like this; "You Know A Tree By It's Fruit". If I say am a apple tree, but you only see oranges on my branches, then my statement about me being an apple tree has no real basis. It's a lie. We can be this way as Christians. We are defined by our fruit not our words. Sometimes we talk too much, rather than allowing our lives to speak for us. What people see is what we really believe.

What is Love? FAITH? Prayer? Works?

    in Christianity

Christians are admonished to do the works of God. We come to Christianity willingly. We serve willingly. We live our lives being a blessing to others. We do not set up obstacles for others. We crete pathways for others to follow to eteranal life, and life here on earth more adundantly. Christians love one another because God says to love one another. Christians love first out of faith that love is the way. Christians' faith begins by learning and leaning on God's word and doing the required works to accomplish outcomes and reap rewards that pleases God. The faith of the people our our #nation is displayed in our love for one another. Scripture~By this shall all men know that you are my disciples if you have love for one another

What happens when you lose your faith?

    in Christianity

I have been soul searching the last few weeks in regards to the promises of GOD! If GOD cannot fail, cannot lie, and is watching over his word to perform it in the life of his people.  Why are we as the children of GOD not seeing more of these promises happening in the church today?  To me it makes clear that the church has fallen into error in faith.  We discussed this last week to start off your thinking into this thought process.  We found this old message and hope that it stirs your thinking as it has ours.  As always we will open up the microphones at the end of this show for comments and questions.

What is LOVE? Faith? Prayer? Works?

    in Lifestyle

You cannot bless others with prayer and go on your way and set up obstacles which will make that which you prayed for never to be reality. Love is a lifestyle. Loving only those who love you is not the love of God. Christians, we are our brothers keeper. Not because it is a job we are paid to do by tax payers, which God admonishes in scripture: Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caear's and unto God the things that are God's. God admonishes in scripture to whom much is given, much is required. God admonishes in scriptue What you do to the least of these you do unto me!

    What is Faith?

    in Spirituality

Today we will look at what faith really is.  Is your faith in God's Word or in your job, your ability to provide for yourself and your family or do you trust the Lord to supply your needs?  Faith is not easy.  It takes courage to follow the leading and prompting of the Holy Spirit, expecially when you don't know where you are going, or what lies ahead.  True faith is a total reliance on the Lord and faith and trust that He will provide and take care of whatever you have need of.  Faith requires us to look beyond the physical world around us because that puts limits on us and blinds us to what God is doing.
