In the 4th installment of the NFL series here on West Coast Bias, Double K and The Doual will get to the bare bones of it. Only two West Coast teams left and the first comes from central California. That’s right the boys are traveling to Santa Clara to check in on the San Francisco 49ers the boys had a rough start to the preseason and finished strong. There were a lot of concerns about the first team offense and the boys are going to discuss how the team has looked in the first few weeks of the season and can they realistically make the playoffs (Spoiler alert the doual will say no and blame it on Colin Kapernick) So tune in on Sunday at 8pm PST to West Coast Bias right here on the 4ACES Network. www.Blogtalkradio.com/fouracespresents ...
To continue the month of football talk and to kick off the new season the boys of West Coast Bias will be talking a look at the southern half of California as Double K and The Doual talk San Diego Chargers football. With a couple of pre season games in their pocket how do the Chargers look? Is Phillip Rivers the elite QB he has been in recent years? Can he lead the Chargers to the playoffs in this tough AFC West? So listen in as the boys bring you NFL football from a West Coast point of view. That’s Sunday at 8pm PST right here on the 4ACES Network on www.Blogtalkradio.com/fouracespresents ...
With the new football season right around the corner and the pre season having begun. It is time for the boys of West Coast Bias to take a look at the grid iron. Over the next five weeks WCB is going to be taking a look at the West Coast NFL teams and how they stack up in the league this season. The 1st of these teams is the team that had the most cap money to spend and had one of the best off-season’s this year and that was the Oakland Raiders. The Raiders made a lot of moves this offseason and every one of them helped this team get better. So tune in on Sunday night at 8pm PST to Double K and The Doual as they kickoff the football season and talk Raiders football right here on West Coast Bias on the 4ACES Network. www.Blogtalkradio.com/fouracespresents ...
This week on West Coast Bias we are going to continue our trip around the West Coast teams in this upcoming season. This week we are going to take a look at the Arizona Cardinals. The Cardinals have gone out and improved this team during the offseason. They didn’t really make a lot of noise during free agency; the only big signing that they had was OT Jared Veldheer who they signed away for the Raiders. The other big move came recently when they resigned CB Patrick Peterson to a contract that made him the highest paid CB in pro football. So as you can see we will have plenty to discuss so join Double K and The Doual as they discuss the Cardinals and their chance to win this season. Tune in Sunday night at 8pm PST right here on the 4ACES Network. www.Blogtalkradio.com/fouracespresents ...
Alan (Giants of Jazz Radio) and Jose (Jazz Con Class Radio) are very honored to have with us jazz historian, jazz journalist and author Scott Yanow. We will cover his biography in detail and then concentrate on "West Coast Jazz." We will decipher this sub-genre of "Cool Jazz" by discussing its roots and its history. We will also touch on the 60's Jazz scene in both the Los Angeles and San Francisco areas. Join us, listen and/or call in!
Scott Yanow (Bio):
.....Jazz Journalist and historian. Since then, I have been involved in many projects. Being the Senior Editor for the 3rd edition of the All Music Guide For Jazz resulted in a countless number of my CD reviews and biographies being utilized throughout the internet including Pandora Radio. In addition to having written ten books so far (most recently The Jazz Singers) and writing for the Jazz Heritage Club, I have written several episodes for the popular jazz radio series Jim Cullum's Riverwalk - Live At The Landing.
I have written over 750 liner notes, hundreds of press biographies and press releases, and it has been said that I have reviewed more jazz recordings than anyone in history. I have contributed to virtually all of the major jazz magazines including Downbeat, Jazz Times, Jazziz, Cadence, Coda, The Mississippi Rag, Jazz Forum, Jazz News, The Jazz Report, Planet Jazz, Jazz Now and Jazz
Improv. These days I write regularly for Jazz Inside, Downbeat, Jazziz, Los Angeles Jazz Scene and The Jazz Rag.....Learn More
Jeremy and Chris go through the nine games of the third week of Mountain West football and discuss the highs and lows of the league so far. We both fell that Boise State is the best team in the league and that Nevada really has a chance to compete in the West.
We go deep into Fresno State to try to figure out what is going wrong with that team. Is it coaching, lack of talent, scheme or just maybe we are holding onto some shred of that Fresno State is still a good team and blame the difficult schedule.
We do get to Chuckie Keeton leaving the first half of the Wake Forest game by re-injuring the same knee that he tore his ACL last year. As of this time there is no update on the status of Keeton's knee.
