SORT BY Relevancy
The Gospel of salvation is perfectly calculated to cause division. It strikes at the root of the very existence of mankind in their wickedness, evil designs, passions, and wicked calculations. There is no evil among the human family, but at the foundation of which it strikes effectually, and comes in contact with every evil passion that rises in the heart of man. It is opposed to every evil practice of men, and consequently it disturbs them in the wicked courses they are pursuing.
Whenever the Gospel is preached in towns, cities, country places, or in any community who are in darkness, it never fails to bring light; it manifests their ignorance; it distracts them, and annoys their peace. They say, "I supposed I was wise, happy, comfortable, and well enough off; but here comes something that informs me I am mistaken, that this and the other thing are wrong. It reflects light upon my understanding, and teaches me that my acts, while I live upon the earth, should tend to the glory of God and the peace of mankind. This naturally seems contrary to my feelings, disposition, passions, and traditions, and to every thing about me, except the reflection of truth upon my mind, which enlightens my understanding, and teaches me to glorify God, and do good to my fellow creatures." RELIGION IS DIVISION = THERE IS NO RELIGION HIGHER THAN THE TRUTH
Why is there so much disagreement, confusion, and division in religion? Even "Christian" denominations often disagree and contradict one another. Does Jesus approve of such division, or does He want religious unity? Does division occur because the Bible contradicts itself or cannot be understood? Is it caused by ignorance, lack of Bible study, human religious authority, and man-made creeds? What does God's word say?

His religion is important to him even as others use Christianity to keep gays down. We explore Tanner's story and the role of religion in the debate over gay rights.
Easter Sunday was difficult for Chicago, as the Cubs, Bulls and Blackhawks all suffered losses of varying magnitudes. For the Cubs, the first game of the season vs the St. Louis Cardinals was more about the "new" Wrigley Field still under heavy construction, but we saw signs of the same Cubs team of recent years that fails to capitalize on scoring opportunities. The Bulls fell to the Cavaliers in Cleveland, which likely seals the Central Division title for Lebron and the Cavs who used a barrage of three pointers to win the game. The Blackhawks lost at home to the St. Louis Blues, who leapfrogged the Nashville Predators and currently sit atop the NHL's Central Division. The Blackhawks face the Blues again on Thursday, but have a date with the surging Minnosota Wild on Tuesday. The NCAA Championship is tonight, and I've got a breakdown of the matchup between Duke and Wisconsin. All this and your phone calls at (347) 327-9183!

Obama calling rioters Thugs. Class division and warfare. A mysterious banging in a police van that led to fatal spinal cord injuries and a coma. All the elements to propel the Black Lives Matter movement into another public demonstration of civil rights violations. But wait....Freddie Grey was a 25 yr old man with a 22 crime rap sheet in 7 years, some crimes only 1 week apart. How could someone with this rap sheet even be in the streets? Even with all that, the police had no clear reason to arrest the man that night on 4/12...they found the switchblade on him after they made the arrest. This show was recorded at 2 a.m. 5/1 before the announcement of charges against 6 policemen. The horror of being chained in leg irons and not properly fastened in a police van is unacceptable.
The regular season doesn't matter. People keep saying that. Yet, you have several teams in the west and east that are battling for a playoff spot, every regular season game mattering. So what will it mean to the Hawks when they clinch the division and conference before April? What will the new injuries to the Hawks mean over the next 6 weeks?
Blackhawks blow big lead, but hold off WildTeuvo Teravainen broke a tie with his first playoff goal and the Chicago Blackhawks beat the Minnesota Wild 4-3 on Friday night in Game 1 of the Western Conference semifinal series. The Blackhawks, trying to knock out Minnesota for the third straight year, struck first after taking out Nashville in six games in the opening round. Game 2 is Sunday night in Chicago.
NHL: Lightning 2, Canadiens 1 (2OT)Tyler Johnson and Max Pacioretty exchanged goals in the second period and Nikita Kucherov came through in double overtime to break the deadlock for the Lightning and steal home-ice advantage from the Canadiens. TB leads series 1-0.
