Before the age of 18, Country artist Lawnie Wallace had a major recording deal. Her debut album charted in the top 10 and included the hit song Thought I Was Dreaming. She went on a major cross Canada tour and had several high rotation videos on Country Music Television.
After coming off the road she took a significant break from the stage and the music industry. Even though the music within her had never left. Time away gave her time to meditate on life and delve further into herself and her music.
Lawnie had the privilege of landing a significant position working with students wanting to be in the Radio and TV Industry. During this time, she experimented with a new sound she calls 'Southern fried Techno'. She recorded the album under her childhood nickname "OOKEE". It was like a rebirth helping her to redefine her craft. Lawnie placed top 10 in the international song writing competition and received an honourable mention with one of the songs from the OOKEE album called “Sugarland,” in which she co-wrote with her producer Ruben Huizenga and her father William Wallace.
Lawnie recently released a brand new album called The Lost Years.

This is my last show with this network. (Contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org for updates.) It's been a great run, but it's time to move on.
Three years ago, Gretchen Wallace talked with us about her work with women in developing countries, often in what is euphemistically "post-conflict areas" (also known as what's left when war has ravaged a country).
What she found is that these women don't need us to tell them what to do. What they need is the resources to implement the solutions. She created her Global Grassroots Foundation to provide them those resources so they can create positive change for the women and girls in their community.
In a few weeks, we'll be checking back in with Gretchen for an update, so it's time to replay the original show.

Jerry Wayne 23, a young, anointed and gifted artist, from North Carolina. Stepping on to the gospel scene with a new fresh sound that hasn’t been heard before under the guidance of Damion Murrill. This young man is sure to be a positive and aspiring light to millions of people around the world,
Jerry was introduced to music at a young age, singing and leading songs in his home church choir at 5 years old, in addition to playing drums with his brother Daniel at 9 years old, following the musical roots from his family's quartet group “The Golden Silvertones”. Jerry grew up with a love for quartet music, but never aspired to have his own group but he has always been a solo artisit.
At the age of 20, Jerry learned about the goodness of the Lord first hand. He had a spinal cord surgery that left him paraplegic from the waist down. Jerry recalls, “ I remember it so vividly from losing the ability to walk, and everything that had to with my waist down, to the doctors telling me I wouldn’t be able to walk again, and learning to forgive. I remember crying out to the Lord saying, "whatever you need me to do, I’ll do it, just heal my body Lord!”
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28
“ Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him” Job 13:15
