    Join us Sunday February 22nd at 4pm cst as we interview Mike Halterman,  a young journalist from Florida.  Mike is a 29-year-old journalist who was born in Jacksonville, Florida. He considers himself "a Southern boy" and grew up in Warrington, Florida. He graduated from the IB Diploma Programme at Pensacola High School in Pensacola, Florida in 2004.
    Since then he has pursued a degree in journalism and a minor in French language at the University of South Florida. He interned with the Wikimedia Foundation offices as a public relations consultant during the summer of 2007, and was under freelance contract in 2008 for the Gannett Company, providing nightlife correspondence in the Tampa area. He worked as writer and later editor of OMG! Magazine, an GLBT magazine serving Tampa Bay, Orlando, Key West, Miami, and Fort Lauderdale. He currently owns and publishes Out on the Town Magazine, a GLBT magazine for the Florida Panhandle, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas and Louisiana. He has also freelanced for the Pensacola News Journal, another Gannett property. In August 2011 he moved to Fayetteville, Arkansas, where he ran his magazine. As of June 2013 he has relocated to Tampa Florida and is an editor at Hot Spots magazine, the hottest weekly events in review for Tampa Bay, Lakeland, Orlando,  and the southern Suncoast.

With his brother Reginald Hudlin in the director’s chair, Warrington helped to fuel the Black film renaissance of the early 90’s by producing such hit films as House Party and Boomerang starring Eddie Murphy. He also produced the animated hit Bebe Kids starring the late Robin Harris as well as the provocative sci-fi feature, Cosmic Slop.

    Warrington currently serves as the President of the Black Filmmaker Foundation (BFF) and is the Founder & Chief of the dvRepublic.org and the Cast and Crew of Color.org online communities.

    Fred Maidment is the author/co-author/editor or co-editor of 25 books dealing with topics in management, human resources and international business.  Fred is a Professor of Management at Western Connecticut State University in Danbury, CT.  He has worked for the Chase Manhattan Bank, the NCR Corp. and has had his own business.  Fred has consulted with agencies of the federal government, not-for-profit organizations and corporations.  He did his undergraduate work at the Stern School of NYU, his masters at the Baruch College of CUNY, his doctorate from the University of South Carolina, Columbia, and was a Resident Scholar at the Warrington School of Business of the University of Florida at Gainesville.  Dr. Maidment’s most current book is entitled, What Your Boss Doesn’t Want You to Know: How to Succeed (and Excel!) in the Global Economy. He and his wife live in Connecticut and are the parents of four children and three grandchildren.

    Fred Maidment is a Professor in the Department of Management of the Ancell School of Business at Western Connecticut State University in Danbury, Connecticut.  He has been on the faculties of a number of universities and colleges including the University of South Carolina and Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.

    Dr. Maidment received his BS from NYU’s Stern School of Business (then the School of Commerce), his MBA from the Baruch College of the City University of New York and his doctorate from the University of South Carolina, Columbia.  In addition, he has been a Visiting Scholar at the Warrington College of Business of the University of Florida – Gainesville.
