    #KingOfUndergroundMedia w/ Daniel Brooks

    in Entertainment

Valley, Alabama musician Daniel Brooks got his musical start as the bass player for a local cover band, Fifth Element in 2003, where he cut his teeth playing many bars and private parties. In 2006, while in college in Troy, Alabama, he met a fellow musician and formed the duo Stoned Cold Happiness. Stoned Cold Happiness would continue to play weekly around the local music scene until 2008. In 2009 Daniel would begin to venture into solo music, focusing on honing his skills on the acoustic guitar. In 2012, by happenstance of a late night jam session, Daniel and fellow musician Brett McDaniel laid the groundwork for Daniel & McDaniel, an Americana-Folk inspired acoustic duo. In early 2015, Daniel and Robbie Sellers formed the duo Pell Avenue and are currently working on their first album while playing the Southeast. Currently Daniel is also working on a rock/county acoustic duo with his brother, former lead singer of Fifth Element, MarDe Brooks under the name Brooks. Be on the lookout for Daniel as his music career progresses.

    Walter Martin: Understanding the Bible

    in Christianity

Did giants really exist?  Are women as valuable as men?  Did Jesus say he was the Son of God?  Words are the vehicles of thought, and the Bible has plenty of them, so it is vitally important that we get the meanings right.  In this fascinating look at interpreting the Bible, Walter Martin discusses the correct way to approach and analyze biblical passages, and emphasizes the importance of understanding the Bible in the defense of the Christian faith.

Carol Brooks debuts Simple Grace Magazine

    in Lifestyle

About the Magazine: A 144-page digest-size monthly magazine and devotional in one, Simple Grace offers its readers a daily dose of hope. Developed with the Christian woman in mind, the heart of the magazine is a daily devotional that offers the reader a chance for reflection on the majesty of the Father (in the form of a beautiful photo of God’s creation), communion with the Son

    1.      Why is a mainstream magazine company entering the Christian market long after most faith-based magazines have failed?

    2.      Given your time serving on staff for other women’s publications, how does this hopeful magazine differ in its content?

    3.      What do you find refreshingly different about the content of Simple Grace versus some other popular glossies on the newsstands today?

    4.      Unlike other faith-based publications that can be denominationally-focused, Simple Grace crosses those lines. Why is that important?

    5.      The magazine’s tagline is “Your daily dose of hope.” Why is that concept so important to readers?

    6.      What has been the initial reaction to the first two issues of Simple Grace?

    7.      For the millions of people who love Jesus Calling, why will they also love Simple Grace?

    8.      Why is this magazine so important? What do you hope Christians will discover by reading Simple Grace?

This show is presented by Gracefully-Yours greeting cards, America's #1 inspirational cards for all seasons and all reasons.
