HERE ON NORTH FLORIDA WRITER LIVE, WE HAVE PREVIOUSLY TALKED ABOUT THE STATE OF OVER DEVELOPMENT AND LACK OF FORESIGHT IN THE SUNSHINE STATE AND NO PROPOSALS OFFER MORE NEGATIVE POTENTIAL IMPACT TO CLEAN WATER, WILDLIFE AND THE RURAL LIFE THAN PLUM CREEK'S AMBITIOUS PLANS IN ALACHUA COUNTY. HOPING TO DEVELOP A PRISTINE WATERSHED AREA WITH NO INFRASTRUCTURE INTO A "CITY IN THE SWAMP", THEY HAVE NOW REQUESTED THE SMALL CITY OF HAWTHORNE TO ANNEX A PORTION OF THEIR LAND, THEREBY AVOIDING THE MORE DIFFICULT TASK OF MEETING THE COUNTY'S STRICT ZONING AND PLANNING REQUIREMENTS WITH THE AID OF STATE GOVERNMENT. WHAT'S MORE, THEY PREVIOUSLY CLAIMED THEY WANTED TO BE GOOD NEIGHBORS, YET THEY HAVE THUMBED THEIR NOSES AT THE LARGE NUMBER OF RURAL RESIDENTS WHO ARE OPPOSED BY IGNORING THEM.
ONE OF THOSE RESIDENTS WILL BE MY GUEST ON NORTH FLORIDA WRITER LIVE FOR A SPECIAL EDITION ON SATURDAY AT 10 A.M. LORI WIGGINS, A LIFE LONG RESIDENT, NEVER INVOLVED HERSELF IN POLITICAL ISSUES BEFORE THIS ISSUE SURFACED. SHE DEVOTED HERSELF TO RAISING HER CHILDREN BUT NOW WITH HER CHILDREN GROWN SHE HAS INVESTIGATED THIS PROPOSAL AND FINDS IT SERIOUSLY DEFICIENT AND DETRIMENTAL TO THE AREA AS DO MANY IN THE AREA, INCLUDING YOUR HOST. WE WILL TALK ABOUT THE ISSUE, WHAT HAS TRANSPIRED AND HOW THE SMALL CITY OF HAWTHORNE WITH ONLY 1200 RESIDENTS HAS JOINED THE FRAY ON BEHALF OF PLUM CREEK. EVERYTHING SINCE THE INITIAL RECOMMENDATION OF DENIAL BY THE COUNTY HAS BEEN HANDLED WITH LITTLE FANFARE AND PUBLIC REVIEW. WE HOPE TO CHANGE THAT FOLLOWING THIS SHOW.
RURAL AMERICA: PAY ATTENTION. PROJECTS SUCH AS THIS ONE ARE UNDERWAY ALL OVER THE COUNTRY AS DEVELOPERS PUSH TO DEVELOP ON RAW, CHEAP LAND AND YOU'LL GET THE TAX BILL.
Custer's Luck Radio Show host Jean Barto gives a brief overview of the life and career of Thomas Lafayette "Tex" Rosser, MG (CSA), George Armstrong Custer's best friend at West Point and later Civil War adversary.
Still on call for a promised call-back I'm starting to wonder if I'll ever receive, especially given that my father's new PCP (primary care physician, not the other kind of PCP) accepted him. Now Silver Creek is nagging us to come up with a urologist and oncologist, which I thought was the purview of the PCP to recommend and refer. Maybe we can clarify all this on our next visit.
Otherwise, I'd be all set to go except that (1) I'm getting lazy and (2) I'm so hoarse I sound like a straight Harvey Keitel. So the Wayback Machine reliving of the last shutdown showdown takes us into the weekend, where I WILL be on the air tomorrow on American Daily Review and Constitution Radio, starting at 2PM Eastern/11 AM Pacific.
And as for Monday? You'll just have to log in to find out.
Don Peak is a professional trophy multi specie freshwater angler, with 3 Kentucky Master Angler Awards over 150 trophy and Big-fish awards. An accomplished deer hunter, a former competitive shooter, with many awards, a former competitive bodybuilder and gym owner, wilderness survival instructor and wilderness guide, mentioned in several OUTDOOR LIFE magazine issues, Louisville Courier Journal Newspaper and pictured in North American Fisherman magazine....and Bigfoot hunter and investigator. Like most people who enjoy the outdoors, Don never gave much thought to whether Bigfoot existed or not...but if Bigfoot did exist, it would almost have to be in the pacific north west...not in his home state of Kentucky. At least that's what he thought, until July 2004 while wade fishing a creek for small-mouth bass in the eastern mountains of Kentucky. Join us as we find out how Don Peak discovered Saquatch that day. LISTEN TO POWDER BURNS: A WESTERN AUDIO DRAMA ON THE 3RD SATURDAY OF THE MONTH.
WRITTEN/CREATED BY & EXECUTIVE PRODUCER DAVID A. GREGORY (ONE LIFE TO LIVE)
STARRING JOHN WESLEY SHIPP (THE FLASH ON CBS & ON THE CW AS BARRY ALLEN'S FATHER, HENRY, ONE LIFE TO LIVE, DAWSON'S CREEK) AS SHERIFF EMMETT BURNS.
POWDER BURNS: A WESTERN AUDIO DRAMA - PILOT - SEE the Wild West as Sheriff Burns does. WITHOUT SIGHT.
The show brilliantly legitimizes the audio drama genre in it's use of a blind central character, allowing the listening audience to observe events as Sheriff Burns does; and tackles social and ethical issues still troubling America today, all is the guise of a classic radio Western.
General Emmet Burns returns home after the Civil War and is reinstated as his town's Sheriff.
When a freak accident renders him blind, he struggles to serve out his term with the help of his able Deputy, Prentice Bell, until the town's next election.
But holding the war-torn community together one last time is tougher than he bargains for...
On July 16, 2015 in Dawson Creek, BC, James McIntyre was shot dead by RCMP. The fifth shooting since April 1 in the region. We await the investigation report, which may take a year. There was a BC Hydro-Site C dam presentation that afternoon. Protestors were expected. Police responded as they do too frequently.
This event brought forth Op Anon Down. For all the money being spent by Canada's spy and surveillance agencies to watch our "enemies" and to "protect" us, there seems to be some holes much closer to home for the powers that be.
Mohammed Fahmy. Peter Munk. Barrick Gold. Nathan Jacobsen. Israel. ISIL. Secret Orders-In-Council of the Privy Council Office. The Prime Minister's Office. Expensive and partisan photo ops. Who is the common factor here? Former Minister of Foreign Affairs, current board member of Barrick Gold and the Friends of Isreal Initiative, John Baird. His surprise resignation from Cabinet, then politics altogether was an unexpected occurance.
Op Anon Down can fill in some blanks for you, as they have proven to date. Let's discuss how far and deep the corruption goes in Harper's world. Expect Us.
In May, 1664, the colonial Maryland land grant office issued a patent for a 400 acre tract covering the Capitol Hill area. It went to a whimsical gentleman called Francis Pope. He called his tract “Rome” and a stream at the foot of the hill the “Tiber.” Thus he could say that “Pope was at home at Rome by the Tiber.” Later many local residents, George Washington among them, thought the name Tiber was too pretentious and called it Goose Creek. But the name Tiber stuck, and the stream exists by that name today, underground (where it cost taxpayers millions as engineers struggled to divert it from the foundations of the Rayburn House Office Building).
In 1670 the ground on the top of the hill was acquired by a pioneer Catholic settler of Maryland, Thomas Notley. In honor of the ancient Benedictine foundation in Dorsetshire, England, his ancestral home, Notley named the property Cerne Abbey Manor. While the militaristic Roman Empire was collapsing, Pope Symmachus created the Vatican Palace in 514 as the seat of the "universal religion" called Catholicism.Working for and with the Black Nobility, the Vatican and the various Papal and Royal Orders, especially the Jesuits who are ultimately in control of the Vatican and the Military Order of Malta.
Furthermore the District of Columbia is judicially governed by the Lex fori as opposed to Lex causae.
"There is an increasingly common belief among many that this Act has overturned the United States Constitutional Republic. These theorists state that the "Corporate US" is actually operating under the name: UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, noting the capital letters as a distinction from the Constitutional Republic.Jurisdiction rules (Canon Law, Admiralty law).
