The official date for the 2014 election is less than two weeks away, but early voting in several states has already begun. That hasn't stopped the now-typical wrangling over voting rules in states governed by Republicans. Saturday morning we got a little October surprise from the Supreme Court, which upheld yet another discriminatory voter ID law designed to disenfranchise minority voters. That decision came with a little extra: a scathing dissent from Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg (joined by Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan). This election year has been a bumpy ride and it isn't over until it's over. The good news is that states that were written off by the MSM as an easy win for the Republicans are now neck and neck, with Democrats either tied with Republicans or just behind and within the margin of error. If only the polls could be trusted! MOMocrats Cynematic and Donna Schwartz Mills discuss the 2014 midterm elections from a progressive point of view. Produced by Engender Media Group.
Lary Coppola is a political pundit, Press/CEO of Wet Apple Media, and former Mayor of Port Orchard. Listen in as he guest co-hosts and weighs in about county commissioner, legislative, and other political candidates in the upcoming race.

One thing your intrepid and always opinionated host on SevsDeadSerious has learned over the many years is that the biggest problem that Democrats and the left have that never seems to bother conservatives on the right is that liberals don't get off their ass to vote. More particularily those inclined to not vote skew twards minorities and the poor...those most affected by the draconian policies of the right. In Hong Kong, where recent protests have crippled the city, 97% of the population votes...In the US we are luck in a mid-term election to see 35% of eligible voters voting. Why are we worried about voter ID laws when most Americans won't get off their ass to vote...it makes NO sense. And don't worry with all the BS here and abroad, there will be plenty more for MOI' to enrapture the multitudes with.

Our economy is making more money that ever. Our #workingclass citizens are not reaping the strength of our economy. Your November 4th 2014 vote is the way to improve the USA economy. The top 1% of the wealthiest of Americans are grouping together to get everything the desire. The workingclass are busy looking for the next paycheck, a new car, better living conditions. There has been a reduction in the jobless rate, but more should have been done. We have a political challenge in America and only voting will term limit the people who have caused the political challenges. November 4th is the opportunity for workingclass Americans to improve the US economy.
Politicians have failed to make decisions to improve lives of workingclass citizens
CEOs are outsourcing rather than hiring workingclass citizens
Courts are passing judgements against workingclass citizens and favoring the weathiest of the sides
Voting is not a chore. Voting is not a waste of time. Voting is a solution. Voting is the way for workingclass citizens to level the playing field. Politicians know the workingclass holds the power. CEOs know the workingclass holds the power. Courts know workingclass citizens will relieve them of their oppressive control to rule the workingclass, once the workingclass wise up and use the collective strengths to improve the USA economy. Yes the wealthiest 1% of America owns over 50% of the wealth of America and the wealthiest of Americans recognize the power is in numbers not money. The workingclass out numbers the wealthiest. The way to improve our economy is to vote.
Your vote on Nov 4th either improves, destroys or stagnates the US economy. How you vote today decides your ability to provide for your family today, your families opportunities in the years to come, and your retirement years.
Take this seriously people. WE are all aware of voter suppression, NOW YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO WATCH ANY OF THE DEBATES. That is why it is imperative to vote along party lines. Conservatives want to also keep the population ignorant. That means to them you are not important, it becomes a matter of control, a matter of hi jacking a job. Vote Blue. Vote for the needs of people.. These are some of the POLICIES that are on the ballot, for Democrats....
The decisions we make on these issues over the next few years will determine whether or not our children will grow up in an America where opportunity is real.
2) FIGHT FOR EQUALITY
When all Americans are treated as equal, no matter who they are or whom they love, we are all more free.
3) JOIN THE FIGHT FOR IMMIGRATION REFORM
The progress we’ve made has been hard, sometimes it's been slower than we want, but that progress has been steady and it has been real. We have done big things together, and we're going to do more. And tonight, I want to make something clear: Fixing our broken immigration system is one more big thing that we have to do and that we will do.
4) STAND WITH WOMEN
When women succeed, America succeeds.Equal pay for women.
5) BETTER COVERAGE, LOWER COSTS
After a century of striving, after a year of debate, after a historic vote, health care reform is no longer an unmet promise. It is the law of the land.
6) CLIMATE CHANGE
Science, accumulated and reviewed over decades, tells us that our planet is changing in ways that will have profound impacts on all of humankind.
